I moved from Concord to Charlotte about 12 months ago, I was looking for a moving company to help me with my move as I was very limited in my time that I could dedicate to the move. A friend of mine told me about Duke moving and the experience that she had when her family had moved. I phoned the company and spoke to Julie who tailored the move to meet my needs. They showed up on Saturday morning bright and early to help load what I had packed (Which was very little at that time!) and had employees help not only pack my house for the move but load everything on to the truck. As a person who is slightly particular about how my things are packed I could not have been happier with how everything was done. The moved was effortless on my part as they put everything where I wanted it even down to the last box. David and his crew are lively, fun loving people who will make you smile and ease the stress of a move. I would recommend this company to any one and everyone. They don't treat you like a customer here, they treat you like family! Although I dread moving again in the next few years I know that Duke moving will be the first and only call I make and that I certainly won't have the stress that most associate with a move. My husband and I purchased a VERY heavy item that was delivered and left in our garage. It was too heavy for one person to move, and were not willing to risk our friends backs asking them to help us. So, I found Duke moving on Yelp and called them to inquire about having someone move the item into my home. The owner of the company (David) actually answered the phone, and we discussed what I needed. I was quoted a very reasonable price and the appointment was made for the next day at 11 AM. David himself and a helper (also named David) arrived at 11 AM on the dot. They surveyed their route up the steps and into the house. They then laid down mats to protect my hardwood floors and brought the item in and placed it exactly were I wanted it. It was wonderful to deal with a company that listened to what I needed, and then came up with a plan. At a very reasonable price. I would use Duke Moving again in a heartbeat for any moving needs that may come up in the future. Really nice people. read more

I'm a bit tardy on this review. A monthly and half ago I used Duke Moving for my move from NH to SC. These guys were tremendous. They were on-time, careful / thoughtful, efficient, friendly, and most important... true to their word. The owner David, put together an unbeatable moving package for me that would fit my budget. I am very grateful for this. He drove his team to NH loaded my belongings, stored them in his climate-controlled storage unit for a month in NC, then reloaded my belongings and unloaded at my house in SC. I can report no damage to any of my belongings, my home old home, or my new home in SC. These guys are rock-solid. This was a lot... and Duke moving made it happen. They took an already very stressful move and made it infinity easier for my family. He's the best- in-the-business and I would gladly recommend and use his team again. David was very professional and courteous throughout the entire process and provide the most reasonable quote I was able to find. His team was very friendly and efficient. I recently moved to the Ballantyne area, I heard great things about Duke Moving and decided to hire them. Not only are they incredibly friendly, but they go above and beyond to make sure you are well taken care of. They loaded my stuff so neatly and carefully in the truck and when unloading, they make sure to put each and every box exactly where it belongs and even situated my couches and chairs to the exact position I wanted, they also hooked up my washer and dryer for me. The owner, Dave is so very kind, he ensures you are well taken care of. This is no ordinary moving company. They really care! We hired Duke Moving to move us from Charlotte, NC to Prescott Valley, AZ. This was the best move ever and we have moved a lot! David Duke and his associate David packed our stuff up carefully and met us in Prescott Valley AZ where they placed all of our stuff where we wanted. Duke Moving set a reasonable price and date/time to do the move from Charlotte to Raleigh. They were on time, careful with the packing/moving of the goods and polite/courteous. At the delivery address they were on time and did just as well as on the pickup end. They did some additional modest moving with-in our home that was not part of the original quote with no additional charge and with a very positive attitude.
