I made a service request and Trinity and another highly-rated company responded very quickly, but the other company could not guarantee same-day service. Both had reasonable quotes. Trinity was VERY communicative, updating me on Tyler's expected arrival time. Tyler arrived about 2 hours after I made the service request. As it turned out, it wasn't just the spring that was broken. The shaft and bearings were in need of replacement also. Tyler showed me all of the damage and was very friendly, professional and courteous. It took him about an hour to make the repairs. In all, I spent more than the original quote, but that was because of the additional work that was needed. I'm retired Army, so Trinity also gave me military discount. I was very pleased to get such fast, professional service on a Friday, and on the day before July 4th. I highly recommend Trinity Doors.

The job was still not done and he had tightened, loosened, pounded on,T and jerryrigged so many things (including the springs) that the manager and another man came the next day and stayed 2 hours to fix the problems made by the first man. After they left, the garage door and the track were popping and cracking every time I put it up or down. I lubricated them and it seemed to get somewhat better. Two months later the door is very loud again and they sent Quick Garage repair to fix the problem. They fixed the problem that I had with the garage door screen, that runs in the same track, but said that I NEED NEW SPRINGS. The Cowtown guys, that put in my new garage door opener, had adjusted my springs when they were working on my door. Now the Quick Garage Repair guys, that were sent to fix the continuing problems, said that I need new springs and, at my request, would only adjust the springs that are there for $175+. The springs were fine when I got the new opener but they would not take responsibility to tweak the setting because it was not on the invoice, so not under warranty for repair. I could explain in more detail but it might take 3 days to read. This is the first time that I have written a negative review so believe me when I say DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

After the work was done the garage door would intermittently stop working. Called Kevin back out to take another look because I thought the tension wasn't balanced. he said the motor was bad. I put up with the door intermittently working but finally called Banko and they told me it was the capacitor and not the motor. He also told me replacement of both springs with them is only 335$. Overhead Door installed our garage over 15 years ago, and we thought we had a trustworthy company…read morewe were dealing with. We were wrong. Apparently their technician must have skipped school the day they taught students how to use a tape measure. They installed the wrong size garage door on our house. Fast forward to now and our garage door recently broke. We had no way of knowing the failure was due to the incorrect size of the garage- it was THEIR technician who brought it to our attention. When he looked at it he told us "whoever installed this made a costly mistake for you guys". I am pretty sure the guy did not realize the costly mistake was his own company-- he immediately changed his tone when we brought out the old receipt which had the wrong dimensions from Overhead Door in clear writing. We were told we would receive a call and he left. Things were radio silent, so I called them a few days later. It was very clear our situation had been discussed internally. The lady was beyond rude to me and told me it was not her problem and she has nothing to do with it- it would go to sales. When I asked when I would get a call she sharply replied it was "Monday morning and I would have to wait". At this point I was livid (and made it known to her I was upset with the way she was talking to me). The sales guy miraculously had time to call us shortly after that call- who was equally rude. He told me we were at fault for not reporting the issue and it was out of warranty so nothing could be done- he would have to find out how much it will cost us. I know this is an older garage door-- I get that. I was not asking for a replacement free of charge and I told him that. I realize that would be unreasonable-- But I have a hard time accepting that we should be COMPLETELY held responsible for a situation that was largely attributed to their negligence. I have shared this story with many people and we have since been referred to several more reputable companies (No surprise- Overhead Door never called us back). We are now dealing with the hassle of getting our garage door replaced, but at least now I know we are dealing with competence, and customer service has been outstanding for us (especially when they get a good laugh about what happened to us with Overhead Door). Do your homework before dealing with this company -- and make sure you measure your garage door if they installed it ;)
