Fond memories of this place. It holds a special place for anyone originally from the area.
A county park outside of Nicktown, PA, built beside a dam, Duman's Dam. Most locals call this place by that name. Pavilions dot the area. These pavilions have been host to countless family reunions, birthday parties, graduation parties, and just plain old gatherings. On most summer days laughter can be heard from people that may be enjoying a hayride, a loop around the park on the miniature train, or playing volleyball on one of the sand courts. At one point there use to be paddle boats for the water, but I believe the water level is lower now and the boats no more.
Rates for renting the pavilions are fairly decent and cheap. It is suggested that if you plan on having an event here, book it early, they do fill up fast.
There are places to park a camper if you are traveling through and need a place to spend the night. Newer, more sanitary bathrooms were installed a few years ago. read more
