I wrote an update but it was just AS embarrassing, so I decide to delete it and start fresh (no....I couldn't edit, but thank you for mentioning it). I LOVE this place. I had a truly horrific experience with a different distributor in town and vowed to never return. Must have been serendipity because without that experience I would have never found this place. When you walk in, you are greeted with a smile and a hello. Not sure about your shopping/dining experience these days, but mine is rife with attitude and indifference. This place breaks the monotony of rudeness to the point of being disarming. In fact, every single person I encountered has been extremely pleasant to deal with. A couple of months ago, I went in to fill my propane tank and they were having a minor issue. Instead of arguing about it with me or turning me away, they let me exchange my empty tank for a full one - no questions. Imagine that....a proprietor that thinks logically. Easy, peasy!!! Of course they have a wide selection....most distributors have wide selections.... this distributor comes with workers that brighten your day. This is my go-to spot for beer AND propane.

Since I was in Pennsylvania, I grabbed a 12 pack of Yuengling Porter. $17.80 with tax. Good call on my part. And the motto on the receipt read: "Thanks for shopping at Mason's Cold Beer Too, The Coldest Beer In Town!" Truth.

We made a not insignificant purchase, close to $100 and he has placed about 4 bottle on the counter while we picked a few others out. She chastised us and scolded us for taking up counter space !!! and suggested we should have used a cart. There may have been 1 other customer in the store - obviously we wouldn't have done that had there been a line of people waiting. When my husband apologized and said the line didn't appear open where he left the bottles she continued to just be a bitch and told him he was wrong. She stopped short of questioning his amex card, but examined both sides carefully before running it through. Guess she's never seen a platinum card before. Had we been able to get what we needed elsewhere we would have left without patronizing this store. I realize she's a state employee and probably doesn't give a shit....but it was not a good experience.

Clearly its not, and when I questioned his tactics he yelled at me and said "I'm getting my Boss if you will not pay!" Next a bald man tried to intimate me into giving him money, I asked is that your property and he said no. But is against the law to park next to PA highway even if well off the road and I maybe towed. I asked about the other 4 cars parked there? Unfortunately, with the busy schedule and a new delivery driver, orders got mixed up. We added truffle fries for 3 dollars which was so worth it. Some of the best fries we have ever had. Also I think we decided it was the best smash burger we have ever had. Nope - just looked at me when I asked for something behind the counter. When I repeated myself, she said "we don't have that"...... it was a buzzball espresso martini - I pointed to the item and her reply was "well, you said martini espresso". Nice attitude!!!!!! I questioned only because that seemed like a pretty high mark up for a 6-pack based on what the case total was. Was told that's what is in the computer and 6-packs are generally more, which I know. But while this was going on it was clear that the ladies at the counter were not happy about the questioning. I went and purchased the 6-pack only to return to buy the whole case (came right back in). Only made sense. While purchasing the rest of the case, and still questioning the mark-up, one of the women asked if my buddy and I were from Jersey. With no provocation other than questioning the price, she made it personal. This was strictly a business transaction and nothing more. I told her I was from right down the road. That shut her up pretty quick! After leaving, I researched that 6 pack and the pricing comes in around $12 to $17. The mark up here is outrageous. Of course, businesses can set the pricing anyway they want. But when it's as high as this was, they should expect to be questioned. But the ignorance of the staff was and is unacceptable. This local patron will not be back. Neither will any of my other friends and family, especially the ones from Jersey!!
