I get it that this little customer won't make or break this business, but, how about a "hi" or I would have settled for some sort of a grunt that acknowledged that I was about to plop down some money. Nope - just looked at me when I asked for something behind the counter. When I repeated myself, she said "we don't have that"...... it was a buzzball espresso martini - I pointed to the item and her reply was "well, you said martini espresso". Nice attitude!!!!!! I am a local resident who has gone here before. Asked for pricing on a case of beer and was told $47ish. Decided to buy a 6-pack of same beer, which was $19+. I questioned only because that seemed like a pretty high mark up for a 6-pack based on what the case total was. Was told that's what is in the computer and 6-packs are generally more, which I know. But while this was going on it was clear that the ladies at the counter were not happy about the questioning. I went and purchased the 6-pack only to return to buy the whole case (came right back in). Only made sense. While purchasing the rest of the case, and still questioning the mark-up, one of the women asked if my buddy and I were from Jersey. With no provocation other than questioning the price, she made it personal. This was strictly a business transaction and nothing more. I told her I was from right down the road. That shut her up pretty quick! After leaving, I researched that 6 pack and the pricing comes in around $12 to $17. The mark up here is outrageous. Of course, businesses can set the pricing anyway they want. But when it's as high as this was, they should expect to be questioned. But the ignorance of the staff was and is unacceptable. This local patron will not be back. Neither will any of my other friends and family, especially the ones from Jersey!! read more

I would give this place zero starts if I could. The lady who works at the counter has to be the rudest person I have ever encountered. I walked in with all intentions to spend money. She sits at the counter and is too lazy to even show someone where something is. She actually pointed behind her, to something without even turning around to show another patron where something was. They have their business hours on a sign right in front of the building and multiple times they close early. I forgot my card and returned because it says closes at 8. Lights off and store close at 7 pm. Will be driving out of town for my beer from now on. read more

I am also wondering, why the bad reviews? Frosty Mountain Beverage has a good selection and fair prices, as well as snacks and single beers for when I want a dogfish head 90 minute. Customer service has always been friendly, but not intrusive. Maybe there was a staff member that hurt someones feelings in the past, but no qualms here. read more

The worst! Before you read this review and think "maybe this guy just had a bad experience there and that doesn't normally happen," keep in mind that I read the previous bad review on Yelp before going and thought the same thing, and now I'm posting my first ever Yelp review to talk about how horrible this place is. Who knew you could have such a horrible experience just picking up a keg you reserved in advance, buying two cases of beer, and then returning the keg a couple of days later? The people who work here act as though you broke in to their house and showed up in their basement demanding beer from them. When I told them that I had called in advance to reserve a keg, they did as much as yawn in the direction of a hand truck so I could go fetch the keg myself. When I came to return the keg, I did come late in their business hours (4:55pm on a Sunday when they were closing at 5pm), but a keg drop off and deposit exchange doesn't take more than a minute or two. The door was locked and the guy sitting two feet away from it refused to look at me when I knocked, then eventually had the decency to look at me and shake his head. I told him that it wasn't 5pm yet and that I was leaving my keg out there. A woman opened the door a few minutes later and asked if I had paid in cash or credit, to which I replied cash and she said that she had none to give. She said that 5pm isn't the time they close but the time that they go home. I told her to adjust their business hours to reflect that, keep the stupid deposit, and that I would never step foot into this place again. Do yourself a favor and drive a little out of your way to go to Harmony Beverage or another nearby beverage place. This place doesn't give a crap and doesn't deserve yours or anyone else's business. read more

Awful experience, not once, not twice, but all three visits. I was staying at Towamensing Trails, which is the ONLY reason we went to this place. First visit, we are looking for a 1/4 keg and were the only people in the store. God forbid you actually take the time to help us. We ask about pricing and she responds with an attitude, "Isn't there a list on the wall?" I'm sorry I missed it, but you don't have to be a bitch about it... We go through the checkout process and she couldn't be more disinterested, like I was interrupting her nap or something. Second experience, we return the keg to get another. Different woman, same attitude. It's like they don't care if they have the business! So Sunday comes around and we need to return the keg. I check the internet, they don't have a website or anything. That's fine. I call the phone number to get the hours, THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE A VOICE MAIL SET UP!!! What kind of clown show is this?!? No message saying the name of the place and hours like any competent business. So we have to drive there to find out it doesn't open until noon. The only reason this place is in business is it's proximity to Towamensing Trails... I don't know who think this place is reasonable, but $60 for 1/4 keg isn't really a deal in my eyes, especially for Miller Lite. DON'T GO HERE! MAKE THE TRIP DOWN THE STREET! read more

Agee with the two terrible reviews. I truly dislike this place and hate that it is at a convenient location that keeps me coming back. This is a simple example of the kind of negative experience that I have grown to expect every time I go in this place. Not a big deal, but just shouldn't be a poor experience when you're buying beer. Last night, I was looking for Pilsner Urquell, didn't see it, and asked the cashier if they carried it (after I had said hello with no response). She quickly said no and continued with this awful, stern, tight lipped look on her face that let me know she despised my presence. I went on to buy a case of lager. I looked randomly around the place while I completed the transaction for the lager and what caught my eye? A couple cases of Pilsner. I pointed it out to her and let her know that her effort was weak, she continued on with excuse after excuse for a few minutes, while I was not saying anything back to her at this point, instead of a simple apology for being no help in the least bit. It's a genuinely terrible experience every time that I purchase beer from this anti-customer establishment, but, regretfully, I'm sure I will go back. read more

I am unsure how this place stays in business except that the owner owns the shopping center and charges very high rent. The employees have no people skills, will not raise a finger to help you and charge about 20% more for product. You should stay away from this place and put them under until they get employees that care about the customer. Keep in mind this is the attitude of the owner or things would be different ! read more

Most small businesses in the poconos go out of their way to be friendly and provide any help or answer any questions you may have. Not this place. The only reason I use this place is convenience. Everything is over priced.They charge for a 24 pack what other places charge for a 30 pack.nothing is priced where it should be priced.The owner would rather go out of business then lower his prices.I always wondered why parking lot was always empty, now i know why.I really dont know how he has stayed in business so long without any customers. read more
