I recently worked with Hunters in Derby to design and install my new Neptune kitchen, and also…read morepurchased Venjakob dining furniture through them. From start to finish the whole experience was excellent. The designer, Nina, really took the time to understand what I wanted and came up with ideas that perfectly suited our home and lifestyle. Nothing felt rushed and I always felt confident that I was in good hands. Installation was carried out professionally and with great attention to detail, and the communication throughout the project was first class. The finished kitchen looks amazing and the Venjakob furniture complements it beautifully. I am absolutely delighted with the result and would highly recommend Hunters in Derby to anyone looking for high-quality kitchens and furniture with outstanding personal service.

Stressless recommend considering various points before choosing which chair but we were made aware of none. After 2 weeks, the chairs were too uncomfortable for us to use & one developed a creak. Someone from Hunters visited about the creak but regarding our other concerns, he just told us twice that we had "bought the wrong chairs!" He also gave us the wrong information again about their locking function & the unidentifiable marks on the leather. Seven weeks later, an independent technician confirmed that we were correct in ALL our concerns & Hunters took the chairs back. The owner Matthew dismissed all our concerns throughout, apart from the creak, so unnecessarily caused us weeks of extreme stress & discomfort. Hunters gave us the worst customer care ever & have never even had the decency/manners to apologise.

The contractors arrived from Western Kitchens in a clapped out van with an advertisement for loft…read moreand building extensions on the side of there van.I was expecting a fully qualified fitted kitchen fitter not a general builder who Western Kitchens had sent to fit my kitchen, it soon became obvious that the contractors work was not up the standard as i had hoped. Our kitchen was mismeasured by the Western Kitchen rep, this caused gaps from the cupboards to the walls, as well as gaps at the top of the plinths which you could clearly see from a standing position, Western Kitchens response was to put a 2" batoning all the way round the top of the plinths, this made the kitchen cheap looking, as the batoning was a completely different colour from the units. The extractor blew up the first time i tried it, the contractor had only just left our house, i contacted Western Kitchens about the extractor blowing up as it had only been fitted 10 minutes earlier that day, Western Kitchens told me to contact the manufacturers for a replacement, when i got a replacement it stayed in the box for weeks as Western Kitchens did not want to know, it was not till i threatened Western Kitchens with court action i got the extractor fitted. Leave Western Kitchens well alone, as as they insist you pay all of the purchase money to them upfront, once they have your money they will not want to know you (the customer) or any problems regarding your kitchen.

Western Kitchens insist that you pay up front, which we did £4.500, we were promised a kitchen that you can walk into and start cookin, what we got 2 days later was the contractor saying Western Kitchens will not pay him for the work for which he had done, and that he nearly did not come back, to get the contractor to carry on with the work, i paid nearly £300 extra. Western Kitchens are now ignoring my phone calls and txt as i still have problems regards the kitchen not being finished. I now have had numerous phone calls from someone by the name of Malik telling me to change my review and say my kitchen is looking lovely, i dont know how Malik can say my kitchen is looking lovely as he has never been to my house. Leave Western Kitchens well alone as i dont want anyone to have the stress and upset which i and my wife have suffered the past 3 months. Hope this review will make you think twice about using Western Kitchens, as once they have your money they are not interested if you have any problems whatsoever. I have ask Malik for £360 which is money i have spent extra. I will do an update review shortly, as my kitchen is still not finished, this after over 3 months from when the Western Kitchens contractor first set foot in my house. Philip Payne Nottm.
