I immediately felt at ease with the nonjudgmental vibe of this place after not doing a spin class in several years. They are 30 minute classes that you feel challenged and don't need to spend hours at the gym to try to get results. I have loved the fuse, transform, and barre classes! I wish my work schedule allowed me to get there more days because it's so fun and challenging that it has made exercising more enjoyable again. If you are looking for a traditional gym feel then this isn't the place for you, but if you are looking for a community that encourages you and like group classes then I 100% recommend you give it a try.

The gym waiver you sign, the person I signed up with, and the email you receive all say you can cancel online, you cannot. It's not the end of the world but just annoying cause they penalize you if you don't cancel 2 weeks before the beginning of the next month.

The floor is decently spaced out(lots of gyms keep cramming more and more equipment) and the machines are up to date. During a recent visit, an employee, in a moment of frustration, referred to him as "you brown people." This blatant act of racism is beyond unacceptable. When my husband understandably defended himself, the gym chose to suspend him for two weeks instead of addressing the inappropriate comment made by their staff. Even more troubling, the employee who made the comment didn't report the incident--someone else did--and the general manager has refused to return my calls to address this serious matter. It's shocking and disappointing that a place promoting health and inclusivity would condone this kind of behavior and ignore a valid complaint of discrimination. I expected better accountability and professionalism from Benny Hardouin and MVP. We both have enjoyed our memberships up to this point and made a lot of friends through the gym.Until this situation is resolved and appropriate action is taken, I will not be recommending this gym to anyone. This is a moment for MVP to take a stand against racism and demonstrate their commitment to fairness and respect. Do better.

However, Nate and I took advantage of a free class offer recently so I found myself back at AM Yoga for an AMp class. I was thinking it would just be a quicker paced, higher intensity flow class. Well, I was wrong - it was mostly like a HIIT class with a little bit of asana at the beginning. The website describes this class as "the perfect balance between high intensity, movement and deep holds. It's a challenging class to increase strength & body awareness." It's listed as 3 muscle arm emojis, the same as the power class, which I've taken a handful of times. I think the AMp class should be more like 4 muscle arm emojis, phew!! It was a lot of hard work, but the energy of the class was great and the instructor had a fun playlist that kept everyone going. I wouldn't say this class is appropriate for all fitness levels. I would have appreciated a few more modifications for lower intensity for some of the moves. Overall it was a super intense, sweaty workout that had us feeling great afterwards! Definitely a challenge. The studio itself is clean, modern, and easily accessible with a large parking lot, changing areas, and retail items for sale like apparel and yoga mats. AM Yoga is a community-focused, welcoming place and I will continue to check out classes there as I'm able.

Lots of space in the yoga room. Heated but not "sweaty yoga" hot. Teacher was great - offered assistance for anyone that wanted it. Optional meditation after class.
