Okay I just had the strangest experience here. I went in to order and one person was in front of me at the first register. A staff member stepped up to the second register and looked at me, so I went to him to order. He then told me I had to wait for the first register?? But he just continued standing there at the second register doing nothing. Another person came in behind me and was like "are you in line? You can go to him" and I was like he said I couldn't...it was so weird. This guy continued to stare at me. I'm honestly like creeped out it was so weird. I finally ordered with the second employee. Then they put out a food order at the register instead of the pick up place, and the man in front of me was looking for it. I told him it was at the other end, then an employee brought it over and I tried to say oh he was looking for that, but the employee just yells at me "I'm just giving you a straw! Geez!" As someone who is a big fan of ice cream, froyo, gelato, etc, while there's a ton of options out there, B-R is still my classic favorite and brings me back to my kiddiehood whenever I visit. With that said, I was excited to find a large BR next to my new house with a seemingly larger selection than normal. Woo! Sadly, this is about all this place has going for them. Selection (5/5*): They do have the room for the extra flavors and there's a pretty good assortment. They also carry my #1 favorite, Daiquiri Ice, in the summer months which wins them a gold star in this category. They have all of the classics as well as seasonal and variations, such as York Peppermint Patty and sherbets. They were missing Gold Medal Ribbon, which was one of my favorites too, sadly, but that may be BR. They also have a nice selection of frozen treats and cakes in the freezers. Cleanliness (3/5*): This is where it begins to go downhill. I went in on a Thursday evening around 8 and while it was somewhat busy, it was by no mean jammed and there were about 4 workers there, including what appeared to be a manager or shift manager. There were napkins on the tables, crumbs, a couple of bags on one. The floor seemed dirty as well with napkins and a spoon or two here and there. As someone who used to work in the food industry, it takes a minor amount of time to keep tables and floors reasonably clean, especially during slow moments. Service (1/5*): This is what was the final straw for me. I received no Hello or Good Evening when I went to order, just a disgruntled look like I was bothering them while taking my time for a selection (see note above about my love for the flavors). I mentioned that I wanted to order a cake and asked how to go about it and I didn't get a clear answer, much less a smile and some help. He showed me the book of available cake designs/styles and stood there while I looked through. When I didn't have a selection within a minute, he kept standing there staring at me asking if I had picked one (there are easily 50-70 designs, by the way, and lots of great options!). When I finally picked one, he told me that I couldn't get it in a certain size. Oook, nowhere does it say that, but fine. Next one I picked out, something else was wrong with it. I finally asked him if he could explain how I would know if it was considered an extra cost or only had specific sizes, to which he said "Why don't I just get a cake out of the freezer". Uh, because I want a specific flavor and a specific message and all of that..I'm not paying $26 for a lackluster cake and run the risk that the day I come to pick it up he's out of cakes in the flavor I want. I finally pick another one out with a picture of an alligator, to which he responds "that's going to look terrible, it will be too small" (6-8 person sheetcake) and drags my over to the freezer to see the options. I finally was so frustrated with a) his attitude b) his utter lack of help in a positive way c) his terrible customer demeanor, that I just told him I was leaving. He responded with "maybe you should go elsewhere". No crap, dude. I grabbed my two cups of ordered ice cream (which he left out on the counter to melt during this whole thing and didn't offer to re-make) and left. Went to the BR over on Centre Plaza who and worked with an associate who not only explained how the sizing and pricing works, but informed me of the different customization and personalization options. Within 10 minutes I had the design and size picked out, options picked, personalized, and paid for the $26 order. They even offered me a free cone after I explained the utter hassle I went through at this store. Long story short, I doubt I'll ever give my business to this location again. The cleanliness and service is completely lacking and for ice cream, there's way better options read more

I was extremely disappointed with the service at this DD/Baskin Robbins. I stopped in looking to get a pre-packed quart of ice cream. The selection in the freezer was limited, so I waited in line to get a hand packed quart. I had to wait ten minutes to get service, and then had to wait another 5+ minutes to pay for the ice cream. While waiting, I heard one staff person say to another that he didn't know how to make the smoothies, so they had to switch jobs... which added to the wait time. The customers behind me, who had gotten cones, were halfway done with their ice cream before they ever got to the register. This particular Dunkin is a "Deli" as well. Their tuna melts are yummy! It's always clean and they are always quick to serve. Their iced tea is an addiction I refuse to shake. I enjoy their wakeup wraps and those little maple sausage corn dog thingies. Yum!!! I do not eat their donuts so have no opinion, but their hash browns are always crispy and delicious. I know chains are hit and miss but this is my fav Dunkin by far. read more

I like Dunkin' Donuts but the only issue is the organization of the tables and chairs inside the store. Also, most of the time it is not easy to stay connected with the store wifi. Long wait, they got my order wrong and the eggs were so mushy they practically dissolved on my tongue. Gross. I asked for black coffee, they game me coffee with cream. When I ordered the bagel sandwich, I am use to them asking me what type of meat. Not this place. I stop here at least twice a week. The morning staff is ALWAYS friendly and helpful. I have never had ANY issue at this location and hopefully it stays that way. The team is always knowledgable when new products become available and can speak to them in detail. read more

I received a breakfast bagel that was not prepared the way I ordered it(very easy! just ham and yellow cheese). I have never been so frustrated with a person providing me with a service. This person literally picked a ticket up off the counter and told me that she gave me what was on the ticket! Not only was my ticket in my hand(she never looked at it) but the item I received was not what was on the random ticket. When I asked for a refund I was told they are not allowed to refund but they can remake my sandwich. That is all I wanted in the first place. I have been to this location multiple times and every time I come I am disappointed. This is by far the worst DD in the Northern Virginia region. Every time they have messed up my order, forget to give me my coffee. It seems they are over staffed but no one is ever helpful and many speak a little English at best. This is my last time coming here. I ordered a large hazelnut macchiato but the guy gave me a watered down, flavorless macchiato that's already been mixed. Customer Service in this location is terrible, specifically by the manager of this location. The cashiers try to be helpful but they are not being helped by their management. I went in to purchase 12 dozen doughnuts and asked for a small cup of coffee. The manager said no without even lifting his eyes to reply to me or tell me that it was not possible. I spent over $140 dollars and he did not have the common curtesy to look at my face when denying my request. I will never go back to this location and will be giving my business to someone else in the future. read more

I called ahead, bought two ice cream cakes, and the owner of this DD was such a jerk to me and my 8 year old and her friends. I bought some water bottles and he charged me for 5 extra cups. wouldn't lend me a knife to cut the cake, generally a jerk. He made my daughter feel ashamed and embarrassed that we were doing something wrong on her birthday with friends. Another mom said she had the same experience there. I will never go back to this store. At another DD near me the staff and owner are kind and generous and caring towards the community. not so here. read more

Good customer service. My friends and I sat down to eat there but there were FLIES everywhere. Within few seconds we had to get up and leave dunkin donuts. Before leaving, I mentioned that to the manager and he said "we are aware of the problem and trying to fix it". I love Dunkin but this one is horrible. They are extremely slow even when you order through the mobile app. My order is also almost always wrong (just as it was this morning). I don't understand how it's so difficult to get a simple iced coffee and a donut within a few minutes. They're slow at the register, slow making food/coffee, slow to grab you ONE DONUT. I pulled into the Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins parking lot and go in to order. First, nothing on their menu for children to order, or atleast, nothing semi-healthy. I had to order my son donuts and a milk which I had gotten immediately. Me, on the other hand ordered a chicken caesar salad and a juice. After 20 minutes on waiting for my salad, the lady at the counter finally calls out "Chicken Caesar Salad" and I go up to get and as I do, the lady say "No, this is for the woman behind you." Let me point out that I was there and had placed my order way before the woman behind me. After the lady told me the salad was for someone else, I told her that I had ordered one also, but 20 minutes earlier. She rolled her eyes and simply said: "Hold on a sec." and walked away. So, another 5-10 minutes go by and she finally calls me salad again so I go up and she asks me what kind of dressing I need and I say none. I get back to my table and first of all, this "salad" that was in front of me was NOT a caesar salad, it had no caesar dressing, no romaine lettuce, and no croutons in it, which IS a caesar salad. I had numerous types of lettuce thrown together, carrots, tomato, parmesan, and about 3 thin pieces of chicken thrown on top. I decided to try it and it tasted like crap. I didn't finish it and felt that since the service was already terrible, it wasn't worth the time in complaining so I threw it away and left. THIS PLACE IS AWFUL. THE STAFF IS RUDE AND ILLITERATE. absolutely horrible! probably one of the worst baskin robins ever. i gave this place so many chances as far as me being a customer goes but after my last visit, i'm not coming back. it gets worse and worse every time i go back there and less and less people. it was like zombie land and the elder asian woman from the back room who didn't know how to speak english or take my order was the only one to ring me up. not to mention all of the ice cream were so mushy and melted it was clearly unsellable but i bought it anyways to not cause a fuss. plus there were only maybe 5 different kinds because the other ones were completely rotten. when she told me to go to the donut side to pay i paid the amount shown. as soon as i get in my car and pull away. an employee or someone comes running out chasing my car furiously saying i need to pay the full price and i believe he was the manager! short darker skinned guy with an uncommon name. i was shaken but said that's not a problem you could have communicated that to me when i was inside i said how much is it? and he looked over into my wallet as i opened it and asked how much cash do i have on me right now! i quickly closed my wallet and said no, put my car in park right there and went right outside and paid with card instead like as if this were a bargain. i can't believe this experience! i'm a little disgusted read more

The service here is barely average- on a good day. I'm no snob, but I do expect to the staff to say hello as well as "please" and "thank you". I would let the poor service slide if the place was clean, which it is not. I recommend bypassing this location and going to the Dunkin Donuts in Pentagon City or the Krispy Kreme a few miles further south on Rte 1. read more

This place is pretty awful. Stopped in yesterday after shopping over at Petsmart and regretted it not long after we walked in. Not sure why it is so hard for the kids in the Alexandria/DC area that work in these ice cream shops can't understand how to put two scoops of ice-cream into a cup in a way that makes it look appetizing is beyond me. First we wanted a soft serve, but the kid behind the counter said the machine was empty. (at two o'clock on a sunday afternoon.) OK....so on to the other stuff. I asked what a medium cup looked like and decided it was too big. My husband ordered a small with vanilla and chocolate and I ordered a small with chocolate and coconut. My husband got a small and I got a medium. Sigh......when we looked confused, the kid serving us decided to just ignore us and rang us up. The ice cream was all smooched in there and looked like a mess. I thought they used scoops to take ice cream out. This looked like the kid used his hand. Meanwhile some other kid was standing there behind the counter running around with a deformed cone that they had in the display laughing like a hyena. After our order was rung up, the kid helping us realizes there's no change in the drawer. We just told him to keep the difference. Ugh.....then we sat there and watched the shenanigans as we finished our ice cream. Whoever the owner is of that store he/she ought to do some surprise visits because there's too much fooling around going on and quite frankly, I don't feel comfortable with people who are not serious about their jobs handling my food. This is a combined Dunkin and Baskin Robbins location but the Baskin side is virtually abandoned. There is no one overseeing it and no one tells until you ask that you have to go to the Dunkin side to place your ice cream order. So we stood in line, and they told the guy before us that they were out of croissants--thankfully we weren't ordering any. Then we went up and paid for our ice cream before choosing it. The lady that was at the cashier was nice but so far we weren't impressed by the experience and it appeared that they were short staffed because there were only 3 people managing both the Dunkin and Baskin Robbins areas. And when she took our money she asked one of the other ladies working there if she knew how to serve ice cream. This other lady was handling all the food on the Dunkin side with her hair messy and all over her face, it didn't look like she was adhering proper food safety protocol with her hair all over her face. After having paid we went back to to get our two scoops at the Baskin side of the store. We had to ask what some of the flavors were because they were not all labeled and some were mislabeled. The Rocky Road I ordered was melting so much that it was practically ice cream soup, I asked for a cone but she had to put it in a cup with a cone on top because it was melting so much. When we had gotten our ice cream we went to sit down and all the tables we saw were dirty. The floor was also dirty. As I ate my melting ice cream I took a bite of my and cone and it was stale, so I didn't eat it. Overall it was a pretty bad experience and I don't understand why because other Baskin Robbins I've been to around here aren't like this. Maybe it's the management at this particular location? Donuts are ALWAYS stale, I have never had a fresh donut there. They make Latte's moderately correct however if you get complicated, such as a coolata, forget it. The ingrediat ratio is way off and usually just tastes disgusting compared to every other dunkin donuts I go to. They also NEVER give whipped cream when I ask for it. read more
