I ordered the Mom Burger, which is a Swiss burger topped with mushrooms on a brioche bun. It also came with a good portion of fries and a side of pickles. The burger itself was pretty solid -- good flavor and a satisfying size. At $16, the portion felt fair considering the amount of fries you get with it. One thing I noticed was an additional charge for sauces. I asked about it, and they explained that all their sauces are made in-house, which is why they charge $1 per sauce. Honestly, that makes sense when they're homemade. Now the star of the show for me was actually the drink. After looking over the menu a bit more, I decided to try the LA Metro coffee drink with almond milk. I'm not a big coffee drinker, but for $5.99, I have to say it was really good. Definitely something I'd order again. I also want to mention the customer service. The girl working at the counter was extremely nice -- probably some of the best customer service I've had in a while. She didn't rush anything, answered my questions, and was very professional and friendly. I asked about the specials, the cakes they offer, and even whether they were doing a St. Patrick's Day platter, which they are. Overall, it was a really good experience. Good food, great drink, and excellent customer service. I'd definitely recommend stopping by Taylor Sam's if you're in the area.

I'm honestly not sure what was more impressive to me; the soups or the sandwiches. I guess I'll start with their namesake, the soup. First time I came here I tried the French onion, since what better 'simple' soup to judge a soup place by, right? Excellent, right out of the gate - utterly bursting with caramelized onion flavor, and just a hint of brandy, I believe? I later came back and tried the Thai coconut and "thanksgiving dinner" soups, with each one seriously cramming a ton of flavor into each bite. Never thought I'd be blown away by soup, of all things, but here we are. The sandwiches are just as good as the soups were, and are priced really fairly for the quality and portion you get. Most of their sandwiches are made on their homemade "pesto bread", which may be the moistest, softest bread I've had in years. If you can't decide, they seem to run specials frequently, where you can get a sandwich & cup of soup. The only 'negative' I can think of is that since sandwiches are made to order, it can take ~10-15 mins to get sandwiches and the like, but this isn't a McDonalds, so I feel like that's expected. Besides, your patience is greatly rewarded. Skip the chain food; there's some really inspired, friendly folks here cranking out some of the best stuff in town. Well worth a visit, imo!

I have been wanting to come to Ramtown Plaza's own cafe for a while now, and I can say that the…read moreexperience was worth it. Website: 9/10 It has the simple green-and-white color scheme reflecting Ram Cafe's brand, and it is easy to navigate and view the menu items. Most of them had an image accompanying them. There are images of the food showcased on the front page, though one of them seems to glitch out. The main page also introduces the contact page for any catering events. Brand: 8/10 I appreciated the entrance to Ram Cafe, since the green sign and the blue electric lights stood out in the Ramtown Plaza. I do like the way the lettering on the business name resembles thick paint strokes. In the interior, there are plenty of refrigerators selling many products from delicacies to drinks. The menu was shown in a screen above the counter. As a cafe, it does help with refrigerator-shopping, since no shortage of foods and drinks exists behind those transparent doors. Ambiance: 8/10 The classic rock music played over the radio with the right volume, not too loud but also provided the establishment with comfort, while people also have the option to watch the television. The noise from the other patrons did not bother us. I gave the ambiance a 8/10 due to the cramped space, since I imagined it to be much bigger. As uncustomary as the tables are, they are at least round meaning that they will not cause any disturbances between the patrons. Service: 10/10 We had no issue with the staff, since we managed to get what we needed. I did have a problem with putting money in the tip slot, which the staff kindly helped slide it in. Wait Time: 10/10 We had no interruptions during our orders. Food: 9/10 I ordered the Assorted French Macaroons and a Living Juice containing blended orange, carrots, and yellow beet. They rested in the refrigerators, so they were already prepared. The macaroons held their forms. The buns and the cream did not fall into pieces. I did not pay the smell any mind, though they did have the soft macaroon smell. The macaroons had the crumbly chew, and the tastes reflected all six of the flavors and the soft macaroon bread. I did not think too much about the aftertaste. There are plenty of menu items with the Ram Cafe brand on them, with the exception of the drinks which appear to belong to many other small brands. Worth The Money?: 9/10 While the interior did feel cramped, I nevertheless enjoyed my macaroons and blended juice. The aesthetics of the paint stroke lettering did match the casual tone of the cafe. The music and the television did not distract me. I can see how this business will continue to represent Ramtown as its cafe, for its location in Ramtown Plaza makes it unique as a place to walk to from the other businesses. I did think that the Living Juice had too high a price, while the macaroons fitted the price. Try to be mindful of what you are buying. I do not have any strong suggestions, for everything seemed to fit well. If they do not already, they should locally source their ingredients, since many farms percolate throughout Howell. Rating: 5/5 Stars I have plenty of hope for Ram Cafe, since I could see how this small cafe would represent Ramtown. Recommend To... Anyone who lives in Ramtown and looking for a hang-out spot. I also recommend this cafe to anyone who is more interested in refrigerator-shopping than preparing to buy online or directly from the menu.

Can't really ask for much more! The details: Shah's Halal is a small chain of halal "food carts" from around the NYC area who have recently begun franchising. If I were to compare it to the stuff in NYC, this review is probably more of a 4 out of 5 (stuff there has a little more complex flavor). But since this is NJ and in a chain food format - there's little to complain about imo. The menu is typical of most of said food carts - platters with either chicken, lamb, a combo of both, fish, kofta, or falafel. They also serve the same items on a pita. For picky eaters, the chicken sandwich is actually fantastic as well; juicy and flavorful. The 'pakora chips' (sort of like french fries meets potato chips) are downright addictive. Regardless of what you order, the meat is piled high, the veggies crisp and fresh, and more than enough food for a satisfying meal. The bonus is that prices here are very fair, with platters around ~$11-12 and gyros around $10. Beats the pants off Chipotle and Bubbakoos, that's for sure. Note that the hot sauce here is actually hot, just to be aware. Really, my ONLY complaint is with the plaza itself - it's kind of only accessible from two directions (Brick Blvd North, and Hooper Ave Westbound). Trying to exit the plaza in any other direction is a little questionable, so be mindful of that. I'll be back again and again - a little slice of NYC in Brick's backyard.
