I went here today with my husband and son who is a toddler. We got two sandwiches curry chicken with naan and it was delicious! My son absolutely loves the curry chicken and naan. My husband and I absolutely love the sandwiches. Everything was so good. I left feeling so stuffed. You get a lot of food for your money. Most importantly, the customer service is 10 out of 10. They greet you when you come in the cashier and waitress was excellent and she listened to details. Even after you're leaving, they tell you, thank you as well. You don't get a lot of companies that will do that nowadays. Last, the ambience is amazing. The chairs are so comfortable and the tables look amazing! We ordered from here on Friday, and even with the reasonable pricing we spent over $70. The goat biryani was flavorful, but the goat meat was a little dry. The paneer tikka masala was one of the best we'd ever had. The veg was nice and soft with just the right amount of crispness and the paneer was soft and palatable. The butter chicken had a wonderful tomato flavor and was super creamy. The samosa chaat was also very good. We moved to the area 3 years ago and we hadn't found an Indian restaurant that we were really happy with. We are very excited to try everything on the menu here. Our family is guaranteed to be coming back as regulars to this establishment. Also - it's very brave to jump out of your comfort zone and make a different kind of cuisine (from the subs). To my delight, I saw they also had Indian cuisine on the menu--I was so excited! Lol Or for those still holding onto memories of what Poor Boys used to be. But if you're looking for food packed with incredible flavor, this is the place to go! For a business meeting dinner serving 16 people, I ordered a variety of dishes: vegetable curries, lamb, chicken, naan, lentils, samosas, and, just in case some of my partners were hesitant to try something new, I ordered wings and a tray of assorted subs with chips. For those looking - just know that this place is inside what is currently labeled as Poor Boys from the street sign (a sub shop / conv store), also is home to an Indian restaurant / takeout. Anyone who knows me, knows that Indian cuisine is probably my #1 all-time favorite, so when I heard from a few folks that the local Poor Boys had re-designed itself into a part sub shop / part Indian restaurant, I knew I had to check it out. Especially considering that the local area has absolutely nothing like it. I've been here three times since discovering they sold Indian food, and have had the Navratan Korma, Butter Chicken, and Dal Tadka, all of which were perfect, and some of the best I've had within an hour drive. By default I believe they make most dishes medium / mild, but they're more than happy to adjust the spice level to your taste. Personally, I like mine somewhere between "hot" and "molten magma from a volcano", and I've yet to be disappointed. Most entrees come with a small side of rice, which is a really nice bonus (some Indian restaurants charge extra for rice). That said, I'd reccomend the garlic naan or roti to go with your dish, since it adds a lot more complexity than standard-issue basmati. Also because it's delicious. Don't miss this place, it's well worth a shot. A welcome change from the tons of Italian, Chinese, and Burger joints in town! read more

So pleasantly surprised ! Tom's river is full of pizza joints and Chinese restaurants, so it's so nice to have something different. The place would not have been on my radar because of the location so I was happy my mother had heard of it and suggested it. Food was ready quickly and staff was very friendly. Its a brand new place, just opened in downtown Tom's River at the corner of Main Street and Washington, second floor up the elevator. The food was phenomenal, the restaurant itself is very nice inside, the staff are very nice and professional, the prices were normal for what you'd expect at a nice sit down restaurant. The man im assuming is the owner is also super nice and friendly. Can't say anything bad about my experience at all. If you like Indian food, or just good food in general its a no brainer. Just heard about it and decided to order some to try. the place is a corner deli shop with Indian food. You could smell the Indian food which I thought was great, the owner came right away to the counter and checked on my order. I'm glad I ordered to go before heading there to eat, it's really just for takeout for me, because they have few tables but again it's a deli so not really a sit down! I have been searching for good Indian food for a long time and had no idea Poor Boys also has Indian food! I ordered the samosas, roti, aloo paratha, and chicken tikka masala. All the food was absolutely delicious! I got the chicken tikka masala spicy and it didn't disappoint. The samosas are large and stuffed to the brim. My only complaint is when I called I had difficulty communicating and understanding him. I'm not dropping a star for that though because the food was that good and next time I will go in person and write down my order to fix the language barrier. read more

I got a mountain of yellow lettuce and soggy sweaty ham and provolone with wayy too much oil and vinegar.Zero Salam ior Cappicola..Just sweaty ham . My Dog wouldn't even eat it and he's a Rottweiler. Awesome local "sub" shop that is comparable to jersey mikes but with a lot more options. They have all kinds of deep fried sides and sweets to go with your sub. If your staying on the healthier side they can do any sub they have as a wrap or a "sub in a tub" which is just a sub with no bread and put in a bowl and served as more of a salad! Great customer service and reasonably priced compared to chain sub places like Jersey mikes. You can order online and pickup curbside if you do not want to go inside! read more
