I just wish they went back to baking there own donuts on premises instead of getting them delivered. The coffee is good and the place is always clean. The staff is always pleasant and the restrooms clean. The bagels with cream Cheese are good

Free donut Friday's are back people! If you're a Dunkin rewards member, get a free donut with any drink purchase on Fridays for a limited time. I sound like I'm advertising for this place, but I love this location. The employees are SO KIND. I'll say it again though, use the drive thru, if you go inside service tends to be slower. They deserve more than 2 stars here based on my experiences. I come here at least twice a week and have her to have a serious issue. ------------------------------------------------- I don't understand how this Dunkin' has such a low rating. I have always great experiences here. I recently tried a couple of their breakfast items, and they were pretty good. The hash browns were crispy and flavorful. The beyond sausage sandwich would have been good on a croissant or bagel, but the English muffin was gross in my opinion. I probably would order food here again if I wanted a quick on the go breakfast. As I said in my last review, the drive thru is where it's at. Service isn't as great when you go inside to order. I recommend using the app to prepay for your order so you can just pick it up

    Donuts are running low!!!

Pros: -Customer service -Cleanliness -Quick service -Love the BBQ breakfast sandwich and that they have the good orange juice -Love how the coffee cake muffin tastes like coffee cake instead of a run-of-the-mill muffin Cons -the filling in the "Boston Creme" or "Bavarian creme" donuts are not as good as they once were... I don't even enjoy those types of donuts anymore as the pudding is pasty and lacks flavor. Main Con: They frequently run out of the majority of their items so you almost never know what they will actually have when you arrive. And we are not merely talking about them running out of "specialty" items toward the "end of the day" (which would be a lot more understandable) but they are actually running out of a large majority of their menu items, the very basic items, on a DAILY basis in the morning or middle of the day. --- This is just bad business planning and compromises their own ability to profit. I have actually seen people immediately walk out of the store after finding they did not have what they wanted multiple times. WHY!?! Is it really that hard to keep a few more frozen donuts in stalk? Can they afford to keep another refrigerator?

    A short cup of ice

I have been going to this DD for Three months. I spend on a good week close to 50.00 yes. 50. I buy doughnuts for my students. That being said I would think that I could get a cup of ice. I asked for a medium and I got a short coffee cup of ice.... the young lady at the window said the GM won't allow any bigger..... ok. So this changes in Two days? I usual get a large with NO issue. This may seem petty but I spend waaaaay too much not to be able to get a cup of ice. My last time at this location. Positive note..... the inside counter girl Erin is Terrific!!!!

This place is horrible. They ALWAYS get your your order wrong. They have a "don't care" attitude. This place should be shut down. Where is the Health Department??? They give you coffee lids that are dirty and filled with bacteria. FYI-do not use their bathroom.

They must be trying to save money by giving less coffee.

I downloaded the Dunkin Donuts app and got these great deals on coffee so I started to go to my local DD this summer. Once or twice a week I'd visit to get their dark roast ice coffee and a free donut here and there from receipt survey. Employees were always friendly and I was happy with my purchases. Only complaint I have is regular prices are a little high and it seemed no one ever cleaned the tables outside. I've seen the same coffee stain spills on those tables for weeks.

    This is lightly toasted?

But I was in the area one Saturday morning around 9 am and the line looked manageable so figured I'd try and see if I could get some. I waited maybe 10-15 mins, so not too bad. My 5-star review is 100% due to the old fashioned donut. When it was my turn to order they had literally just brought out a tray of donuts that looked really good. I asked what they were and was told "old fashioned". Since they just came out fresh I decided to get a couple. I should've got a dozen of just those. Since it was my first time I picked several others to try and they were all fine, but the old fashioned - elite. I would definitely wait in another (10-15 min manageable) line for those specifically. My husband had to talk me down from returning the next day to get more lol.

If you are truly looking for some of the best donuts in the Pittsburgh area, then look no further…read more Better Maid is a locally-owned small business with some of the best cake donuts I have ever tasted. Located on Steuben Street in the West End, this shop dates back several decades. It is located in an unassuming white building, with little signage. However, there is plenty of street parking along with the private lot on the side. This place does not necessarily have set business hours. They have an open time, and go until they sell out. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday they are open at 7 AM, and the weekends is 8 AM. I would advise arriving for the set open time if you are planning to get donuts on any given day. Especially on the weekend, they will sell out within an hour or two (yes, the donuts are that good!!). Plan accordingly if you are planning to stop. It is not unusual for a line to be forming 30+ minutes before the doors open. The plus of getting there early like that is that you will be one of the first served, and therefore able to get first picks! The selection of donuts rotates each day. There is not necessarily a schedule on which this occurs, but they might have a flavor today that they will not have tomorrow. Some of my favorites overtime have been the blueberry cake, pumpkin cake, cherry "sandwich" filled, sour cream, and so many more. I have asked the staff before if/when they would be making a particular kind, and they will let you know if they have an idea, so do not be afraid to ask. They sell cake donuts, regular donuts, long Johns, cinnamon rolls, and other speciality items each day. There are also donut holes, while are quite honestly some of the best I have ever tasted anywhere. They are usually warm and melt in your mouth. Do not leave without buying some if they are available. The value here is unbeatable. With the donuts being homemade and fresh, the prices are the best anywhere. They are even cheaper than somewhere like Dunkin, but the quality is 100 times better. This is probably another reason the people keep coming back for these delicacies. However, note that it is CASH ONLY! When I first started coming here, an older gentleman owned the place. He was so friendly and social to everyone who walked through the door. I always enjoyed interacting with him when I came by. A few years ago, a younger couple bought the business. However, the previous owner still works alongside them, which is cool to see! The new owners have been more consistent with being open during advertised open days, and are active on their Instagram account. This helps with knowing specials, when they sell out, if there is a change in being open, etc. Before, the days were sometimes hit or miss if they would be open. However, this has improved a lot since the new ownership has been in place. I love Better Maid - there truly is not a better cake donuts or donut hole anywhere I have tried in Pittsburgh. Plus, it is local people producing a handmade product, which is something everyone can get behind supporting. I just wish there were set hours sometimes, but that is part of the culture of the business. So, plan on brining your cash and waking up early for these delicious treats.

Antney's is less than 10 minutes away from my apartment, and yet I almost never get ice cream here…read more Why? Because they're popular - TOO popular. And to be fair, they deserve to be popular. Still, waiting in a long line outside in the summer heat...it's no fun. BUT if I'm driving by and the line is short for a change, I'll take a detour and get myself a sweet treat. So, why's Antney's so popular? Because we all love a family-run ice cream shop. They serve homemade cones and a nice mix of (also homemade) ice cream scoops, milkshakes, sundaes, and even frozen yogurts and sorbets. Parts of the menu rotate regularly too (specifically, I've read that some flavors change daily). So while you can always expect to find the classics here, you never know what else awaits you. Case in point: I stopped by last week and to my delight, Nutella Cookie ice cream was on the menu! I ordered a milkshake version and let me tell you, it was the best milkshake I've had in quite a while. Absolutely delicious flavor, and full of cookie pieces to boot - it hit the spot on a hot summer afternoon. It's probably for the best that I don't want to regularly wait in a long line in a hot parking lot to get ice cream from Antney's. Well, it's good for my wallet and waistline at least - it's disappointing for my tastebuds. Hopefully though, I'll get lucky again before they close for the winter, and will once again drive by while the line is on the shorter side!

I first learned of Antney's a few years ago, and have visited a couple of times since then. It is a…read moresmall, seasonal, local ice cream shop located near Green Tree. It is in a standalone building, but within a complex so there is a decent amount of parking. It is a true ice cream stand, with no indoor area and ordering at the windows. Very much appreciate that their ice cream is homemade. It seems like they rotate flavors daily, and are constantly coming up with new and unique combinations. Several times I have gone and they are switching flavors mid-day, so there is really always something new and different to try all the time. My most recent visit was on a very busy Sunday, and it took about an hour to be waited on from start to finish. The girl who waited on me was nice, let me sample some flavors, and gave recommendations when I asked for them. On this particular visit, I got a Golden Oreo Cookies and Cream Milkshake. Additionally, I ordered a two scoop dish with Citrus Rosemary and Peanut Butter & Cookie Dough. Additionally, ordered a Strawberry Pretzel Cheesecake Milkshake and a Pup Cup to-go. The items I personally had were good, and I liked trying the unique flavor of the Citrus Rosemary, though I did not get a lot of rosemary flavor in the scoop. My total for all this was around $26. Just a note, milkshakes cost more if they are a flavor that is not Vanilla Bean, Chocolate, or Strawberry. I previously worked in management of a homemade ice cream shop, and given my industry knowledge I do believe the prices here are high. Other points of critique I have for this place include the lack of seating (no outdoor seating at all), and speed of service. My primary critique, however, is that their hours are so limited. I likely would visit here on a more regular basis if they were open for longer than four hours a day (this includes weekends!). I also wonder if the pricing could lower if they were open longer, and therefore able to move more product. There probably is reasoning, but I am curious why college-aged workers could not staff the store during the afternoon in the summer months, and especially on the weekends. I would recommend giving this place a try - there is not a ton of ice cream shops in this area specifically, and it is locally owned. The ice cream is made fresh, and the variety and uniqueness of the flavors is noteworthy. Just make note of my points above, especially the hours.

But I'm only a regular due to its proximity. I still never get into the drive-thru line, unless I'm meandering through my afternoon. That's it though, because I'm always in the drive-thru line for going on 10 minutes or more. Instead I use the mobile app to order ahead, and I go into the store to pick up my order. Sometimes this strategy works; but I can always tell when someone new is working at Dunkin' because they won't put anything out on the mobile order pick-up shelves. Instead, they hoard all the orders behind the counter...and then run around making other orders. They don't call the names of people whose items are still sitting behind the counter. They're running around so quickly that it always takes me several minutes to get their attention. And by the time I do, my breakfast sandwiches are always cold. Speaking of breakfast sandwiches: sometimes I get the right one, sometimes I don't. I prefer my orders on bagels, but my favorite option automatically comes on a croissant. Half the time the Dunkin' team reads my full order and gets it right; half the time they don't. I definitely stand by my original assessment: don't come here if you want something quickly. That said, it's also obvious that this space isn't big enough for the staff to do what they need to do, so I don't entirely blame the team for things moving at a glacial pace. I've never seen any of the staff standing around doing nothing; so while part of my review criticized when they don't pay attention to the details, I know they're trying.
