I'm so used to Wegmans, which is a powerhouse, that I was shocked to see how few registers they had up front. But the lines were not long. Prices were a bit more expensive than you'd find at the "big box" stores for many items, but I saw quite a few that were price comparable or cheaper. They've got some great day of the week deals (like sticks of butter on Tuesday, a half gallon of milk on Friday). I also loved the signage - they tagged gluten free, dairy free, heart healthy, and sales were easy to spot. For being a smaller store, they also had a pretty great selection of specialty items! There was a good 4ft sized section in produce devoted to meat free and dairy free right up front.
