I went to Dunkin' and ordered a small frozen coffee, and it was terrible. I literally heard the worker ask her coworker if she even put coffee in it -- that explains why it tasted like straight milk. I asked for extra caramel, but there was absolutely no caramel flavor. On top of that, I ordered a bagel and it came out burnt. This is ridiculous. The only reason they're getting one star is because there's a really sweet girl there who is always kind and gives me compliments as well as always has a smile one her face. Today I asked for a Iced large Carmel Coffee with cream and liquid sugar, extra ice and cold foam. I got all the way home and realized I had regular sugar. I absolutely hate the feeling of undissolved sugar on my tongue. I drove all the way back and told them what happened. A couple things the staff did really pissed me off. 1.) no apology 2.) they asked for the old drink back and checked it in front of my face to see if I was telling the truth or not. 3.) I didn't get any kind of accommodation for having to drive all the way back (basic customer service) And to top it off when I got home my food was cold that I ordered. Waste of 10 bucks. Never again! I ordered the 2egg bacon cheese on sourdough bread and a medium coffee in the drive through. The coffee was so hot I could not hold the cup! I asked for a cardboard sleeve for the cup and was told they didn't have one. So I asked if I could have a extra cup to hold this cup and was told "no"! Too many choices that they frequently run out of items. The sisters than run this one are upbeat and always hopping! The rest of the staff is trying but often a bit slow. Single drive thru is convenient and fast. They're better than most but haven't embraced the Dunkin App. The app drives traffic to Dunkin and the cashiers do not encourage use of frequent dinner program -disappointed. What a horrrrrrrible experience. My friend I went in waited for about 7 minutes never being acknowledged . No one was in the store but us. Finally tired of waiting, I said "excuse me" the guy came over and said "what?" I said Id like to order 2 drinks and 3 donuts. He said fine and gave us the total. Sitting in the store and visiting with my friend, I needed to use the bathroom. The men's restroom said out of order. My husband came back this morning after going to the Dunkin Donuts, on 183rd St. Homewood. His first words were, please remind me to never go back there again. When I questioned, he said there were two people in there. One talking to a potential employee, the other standing around totally ignoring him. When he finally asked to be waited on, he said he was horrified to find the employee with inch long fingernails, was to be finally helping him. We experienced a very rude encounter with the staff at our trip today. After placing our order (and specifying *iced* coffees) one of the employees handed us a hot coffee. We apologized and told them there was a mistake. An employee INSISTED that we had said hot coffee, giving a lot of attitude about the miscommunication. I told her that irregardless we would like them to be iced coffees. Frustrated, she told us that we would have to split the difference. We were responding very civilly, saying it was no problem. I'm not sure why all the bad reviews at this particular DD. I stopped going to the one on halsted before work as well as the one on Dixie and 175th. Those places either got my order wrong or gave me wraps that had been sitting around till they were fossilized. Add extreme unfriendly and rude workers at the Halsted street DD.
