Arrived at Federal Donuts & chicken on a Sunday morning and I was the only customer. The establishment is very clean. I was greeted by a friendly lady at the register. I order the original slider , strawberry lavender donut, and a regular coffee. The slider was delicious and it is on potato bread ( a plus for me). The donut was nice and warm and smelled so good! You can taste a hint of strawberry in every bite. There is seating for those that would like to enjoy their food and drinks on the spot!

The location of this establishment is great, right on 73 and easily accessible with plenty of parking. We were the only ones there when we arrived but another couple soon came in after us. It was kept very clean and tidy inside and the staff was very kind. My fiancé had to get a bunch of gift cards for work prizes which is a tedious task and they had no issues helping out. Once I started looking at the menu I was a little surprised at the prices. $12 for a chicken sandwich and $4 for fries. There are numerous competitors where you can get a combo for less than the price of a Federal Donuts chicken sandwich by itself. I ended up ordering a Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and Fries for takeout. I personally thought the sandwich was a little above average and the fries were good, but nowhere near worth the price point for both thin. I should have gotten a donut for the whole experience and now I can't really see myself going back as I think there are better, cheaper options very close by. Maybe my hopes and expectations were set a bit too high to begin with.

Our server came over and greeted us with menus and a specials menu. We were thinking we would get a burger as that is what they are known for besides ice cream. We saw that adding lettuce, tomato, and onions was extra, so we decided on just getting the California Burger medium, which has all of that on it. For a side, we ordered tots. On the menu under burgers, it says add fries for $5, but that is also the price for fries and tots if you order them all a carte. Our food came out pretty quickly. Our burger looked like a premade bubba burger or patty from Costco. It was cooked to our liking but it somehow felt mushy. The tots were nice and crispy. We ordered a fountain drink and a boost. For $26 for a burger, tots and two drinks I felt was a little much. I think we will stick to ice cream in the future. This place is cash only and their restrooms are outside of the restaurant.

I went inside this location, it was cheery and upbeat like most Wawa's. clean, quaint and the employees were very polite. The coffee taste good (i don't really know what's considered bad coffee tho but it didn't make me gag so it's good - i wish i could review products on yelp b/c i seriously just bought a energy drink that taste like feet before stopping here, yuck!). It was funny b/c I didn't want to appear as if I didn't know what I was doing (since I'm not a regular coffee drinker) so I just grabbed a cup and strolled over to the coffee area where there was like 10 machines! I opted to have French vanilla. There was a "concoction station" where you mix everything. I wasn't sure if I was suppose to use the crème in the small table fridge. So I stared for a second (but not to long - didn't want to lose any cool points -especially since i was making coffee on a 100 degree weather day). :) needless to say wawa has really great coffee, it's not bitter and reasonably priced. All in all, this Wawa is nice. I will return if I need more coffee. This Wawa is a hang out spot. People are always hanging outside just chatting like its a city corner. Since i'm an risk taker, and I live life on the edge I went to the other cashier. After she literally had to tell people to come to her line b/c everyone was standing in the other line. Workers, commuters, individuals and groups all find their way here. It appears to be a town gem. The bagels are fresh and ample sized. There are so many flavors( see my pic). Their cream cheese flavors are fresh and portion is just right as you crunch into it and cream cheese goes into all the crevices. The sandwiches looked good but we were their for bagels. It really is a great spot dropped in a small town. If you are headed to Fort Dix, Pemberton or on your way around town check it out
