It's has been 1 year since last visit. Didn't want to give owner my $$$. Let's start that I tried to get an order when they opened. 5:30AM. Didn't receive order until 5:51 AM. My compliments to only person even on site working. He was pleasant. Mind you some hot food was cold. Thankfully could use microwave at home to heat back up. Quality was Good not great. Employee stated that Valley Mills location would be sending help over to Hewitt. The owner must not care if He/She isn't willing to step up and put in the work to cover shifts. Don't blame Covid as society is wide open. This location is lucky people have been forgiving enough to still give you business. I went for the Saturday promotion and had a coupon for a $1.99 Cappuccino Blast. The employee seemed to not know about the coupon as they didn't give correct change. Also, I asked another employee how much the donut holes were and was promptly corrected by them, "those are not donut holes, those are Munchkins. Paid 3 1/2 dollars for a single scoop, and was handed a smaller than kid size portion. Not the first time this location disappointed me but it is the last time. My wife and I came for the ice cream. It was good but basically average I guess. She's been back when I was at work. It is convenient for her as it is within walking distance from our home and we have only one vehicle. We really don't go to Dunkin' Donuts very much. It is what it is. If you like doughnuts coffee breakfast Sammy's. Can go here. In comparison to the other Baskin Robbins it is bigger but I like the hometown feel of the other one in town. There were more choices I.E. more types of ice cream flavors at once and just a bit more attention to detail. This one didn't have all of the ice cream flavors labeled. I would come here if I needed to as it is close by but I am a bit biased perhaps and like the other one. Both places serve up that high quality ice cream that made Baskin Robbins famous. I guess if I wanted huge variety for a crowd I would come here because they serve Sammy's and coffee etc but for ice cream alone I will stick mostly w the other one. I swear! The sign on the door says open until 10:00 p.m... I get there at 9:00 p.m and they're chairs are already up and they're lights are halfway off. As I'm leaving I see some employee sitting in the corner on their phone just staring at me! I frequent this location about 5 times a week. The lady that took my order had a wave cap on her head and she was very unprofessional. My order was incorrect- I tried to get her attention. She came over to the window and slammed the window. I parked my car and I went into the store and the lady that was waiting on me told me that she shut the window because I wanted special treatment. While I was in the lobby the same lady told everyone that was ordering they would need to leave because they were understaff. This has got to be the most ridiculous Dunkin BR on planet earth. The sparking clean appearance is misleading as inside one finds a clown car of ineptitude. Mostly by the owner. Never in my history of frequenting these stores all over the US have I encountered one that can be so unapologetically bad. Why? Let me count the ways. 1. They are ALWAYS out of something. Usually several somethings. Many somethings. And not for a day or two- for WEEKS. It's so annoying to wait in a line only to be told they're out of bread so half the items are unavailable. Another example- They NEVER have waffle cones, which seems particularly sad, given it's a BASKIN ROBBINS. 2. Employee turnover makes it a real crapshoot as to how they'll react. To be fair, I imagine that nobody wants to keep a job where they spend the day telling people they're out of core items. LIKE BREAD! Ive seen the owner there numerous times. He always seems to be training new people but forgets about customers. Once I waited in line for 10 minutes and when I pulled to order box he informed me they were closing for training and couldn't take my order!! Quick hint- Either figure out your supply chain or go to the grocery store and buy some bread! Or put a sign on the board indicating the items you don't have. I tried this dunkin once and my drink tasted terrible. I ordered and iced matcha latte w/ almond milk. I noticed it was real light so i asked for more matcha powder to make sure i wasn't drinking straight almond milk. The small amount they sprinkled extra in there made me thing the world was going to run out of it tomorrow. Needless to say i was correct tasted like straight milk. I decided to go back again the next day to try again and the same thing happened! I'm a night nurse and i survive on this. Hands down the worst. So I work for Uber eats part time and let me tell you. I hate having to deal with dumpkin. Worst staff, always complaining about their job. This place and the location on valley mills are the ONLY place in Waco I have continuous problems, every single time. And let's be real the lobbys aren't closed due to covid their closed because management is so lazy they make delivery drivers wait in a line that hardly moves because heaven forbid you can't walk and talk at the same time. This morning I went through the drive thru and the service was not great. When I got to the speaker all I heard was "move forward". I found out that the worker said "Christi, move forward". She made me drive all the way back around to the speaker to order when there was no one there. I would think when there is a mobile order you ask over the speaker first and just don't tell the customer to move forward assuming that it's the mobile order? I also realize that in the app now it says scan your barcode first before paying. However, it was my first time using it and I was not aware of this, I pay and then ask about the scanning and the worker laughed at me and said I needed to scan it before paying and closed the window. This incident this morning added to my already hard day at work. I usually don't take the time to leave reviews after mean service but this was not a fun way to start my morning. read more

it's obvious that ownership doesn't give much credence to the single star reviews this establishment receives. I often view these reviews with a certain amount of skepticism, as people sometimes exaggerate their experience both positive or negative. However, today April 1, I was at the Hewitt Drive Waco establishment and we were never greeted or even acknowledged We were there for a good 7-10 minutes and although they were busy, not with lobby customers but what appears to have been drive through customers, the least I would expect is to greet the customer and tell them they will be with us shortly or it's going to be a while before we are attended to. I was there to buy 4 dozen donuts for my employees. Not only did they lose a sale but a future customer, for whatever that's worth. By the way, when I told the young lady that she had not even acknowledged our presence, she just looked at us, bothered that we even made that comment . No apology was ever offered. They are always very slow and there isn't a list of donuts available on their drive-through menu so I decided to start using the app. BIG mistake. I've used it three times and they never have most of the things I order. What should be a timesaver ends up taking more time. Today I placed an order through the app and 35 minutes later I was able to get my order but with substitutions. Once, my husband went around 8:30 am and couldn't get donuts because the "donut maker" hadn't shown up. Also today: the girl at the window had her face mask below her nose. I ordered for a Valentine custom cake online for pick up from their Baskin-Robbins outlet on Valentine's day. They called me in the morning and they said their printer has been down so they could not print the necessary photo on the custom cake and that I may have to order from another BR outlet. Unfortunately they require you to submit an order 24 hours at the latest to pick it up on your desired date. Now that was totally frustrating! Imagine how many customers ordered online on the 13th only to be told they will have nothing on Valentine's Day! Its a shame that this place is so poorly ran when Dunkin Donuts are delicious. I have been there 3 times, and all with negative experiences. First time: the store was open and they had no donuts. They said "our bakery never delivered". No apology. They didn't even offer that info up initially that they had no food. This was only after I played 20 questions with them. Second time: went through drive thru. There are no donuts listed on the drive thru sign so I pulled up their website. Everything I tried to order ... they didn't have. Third time was this morning: not a customer in the store. Three employees. Waited at the counter for 3-5 minutes. Crickets. There is always a vibe there that the workers are clinically depressed and you are inconveniencing their precious time. On this morning, they were more concerned with pouring coffee in the pot, scrubbing ice cream tubs and serving their 1 drive thru customer. I know, I know ... that had to be like getting slammed and so so super stressful. Speaks to clueless management and poor corporate oversight ... no product, no customer service. I placed an online order through the app for pick up through the drive-through at 9:15. When I arrived the drive-through was wrapped all the way around the building. So I thought I'd try and go in and pick up my order. The business hours said they were open at 5:30 AM. The workers refused to open the door and they waved me around through the drive-through. So I sat for 30 minutes to get up to where you order. When I explained that I had an online order for pick up it was prepaid they asked me for my name and then told me to go ahead and come to the window. 10 minutes later...When I got to the window they informed me that they didn't have my ticket number they didn't have my order ready and they needed for me to redo my order. When I asked why they refused to open the door that's making me wait 30 minutes to get to where you order and why they didn't tell me my ticket was lost at the drive through-they had no response. The employee blew me off and just said well we can make it for you now. I have already been waiting AN HOUR. I left. I filed a complaint online with the business.
