Buyer Beware! I took 2 necklaces to get an estimate of value to a jeweler in St Louis and after checking them for gold content they said one was 18k gold and would pay me $800 for it. The chain was not gold. I wanted them to make it into a gold coin but since I didn't have the picture I wanted them to put on the coin I left without selling it. I since moved to Fort Myers Florida and thought I would see about having the coin made here. So yesterday I went to Dunkin's Diamonds to have them appraised as I didn't remember which one was the real gold. They took them in the back for about 3 minutes then came back and said they were not gold. Thank goodness I already knew one was gold or I could have just trashed them both as costume jewelry. This company apparently don't know what they are doing. I will never do business with them and advise others not to also. read more

Certainly not what it was 23 years ago when I lived in Fort Myers and purchased my wife's engagement ring. Maybe the price point makes the difference? We were back down (now becoming snowbirds) and I thought Christmas Eve might be nice to get something for my wife in a Dunkin box, It was a sentimental purchase. Anyways small cross ring, not expensive but since my wife was not present I made sure to ask if it could be sized. Of course, says the sales assoc... Not only when we came back could it not be sized but the next assoc. told me if it were him he would have asked the jewler in the back first before buying it. Really?? No manager available and sorry no returns only exchanges. Now my daughter has a new pinky ring and Dunkins lost out on my future anniversary business. I have been a customer of Dunkin's for over 20 years. I have purchased multiple pieces of all types from them- you name it- earrings, wraps, loose stones, bracelets, wedding rings, etc. etc. etc. The customer service is exemplary, no pressure, merely offering you options based upon what your needs are. If you are unsure, they will present you with choices and you go from there. This is not mall jewelry, I have a background in the jewelry business and the quality, style, and value of their pieces has kept me as a customer for over two decades. I have never regretted a single purchase from them. I buy with absolute confidence. You will have to look around to find comparable pieces elsewhere and I would bet you the price and value is not going to be matched, probably not even close. By all means, do your own research but when you're ready to buy, you will have to agree. I strongly recommend the biannual inspections and cleanings on set stones, especially wedding sets, even if you are not buying they serve you after the sale. It's nice just to come in and say hello and it takes no time at all. I can tell you this, I have left large stones in their care for remounting and I know absolutely I am getting the same piece back. I could not have that peace of mind with some other jewelry stores, even name brands, especially when they outsource their benchwork to an outside party and the piece leaves the premises. I purchased a fairly substantial piece from them last week. Oh I looked around a little, but no one was even close with price, the quality of the stones, the feel, look, style, and weight of the piece; and the confidence in knowing what you paid for. The place is gorgeous and there's not many stand alone beautiful jewelry stores like this. I felt as if I were in a top notch luxury store! I have to say, I cannot remember our associates name, but she was older and the sweetest and most patient lady. All of the staff I have worked with have been great! Today I visited for just some watch battery replacements. I purchased a 26,000 dollar stone for an engagement ring for my wife. went in, hand picked the stone, picked the setting. had the ring made. I got my certification for having a perfect stone, appraisal, etc stating perfect stone. well my wife left me and left the ring behind so I start going around trying to sell the ring. little did I know the stone was chipped..... and the first jeweler said it was done during setting. from their I went to Dunkins and they told me that there is no way to prove anything. I took it to another licensed gemologist and he again said it was done during setting of the stone. corporate manager initially called me one day and said "yeah with that chip we just aren't interested" I called into the store and spoke to a manager and told her everything ive learned and still no resolution. ignoring the fact I had licensed gemologists look at it. I went a step above and even got a THIRD opinion.. same result. Dunkin had me take the ring in to have their lady look at it.... naturally she said that there's no way to prove. so 3/4 people say its a defect from them and they won't acknowledge. . but when I was in there they tried to get me to talk to a purchaser who said they can get that same stone for 3,000 dollars and they think thats what I want??? I paid 30,000 for a defective ring. I never would have purchased knowing it was damaged and basically worthless.... ive purchased from this company for yearsssssssssssssss. I will never walk into another one of these stores. you'd think after spending so much money here they would have more integrity. read more

We went into the Mercato location, just browsing, and saw the sign that they bought Rolex watches. We spoke to Brad, and he said to bring it in to him which we did the next day. First he quoted us that it was probably worth between $10,000 to $15,000, but when we brought it in, he said that he couldn't quote it and that it had to be sent to the Ft. Myers store and it would take 2 weeks. We asked for the Ft. Myers address because we didn't want to turn over a valuable watch and wait 2 weeks. He gave us the address and we drove up to Ft. Myers which took us almost 45 minutes with terrible traffic. When we arrived, we asked for someone to check the watch. Finally we were approached by a woman claiming to be the only expert for purchases. She looked at the watch, and said perhaps for scrap, it would be worth $1,500.....This watch is in perfect working condition, back never opened, and holds perfect time. We were totally disgusted that we were not given better information up front, because we would never have driven up to Ft. Myers for nothing. Won't be shopping at Dunkin Diamonds anytime soon. read more

On a recent visit to the Cleveland Ave location in Fort Myers I walked in and was greeted by a pleasant young man. The store was immaculate and I immediately expected a top notch experience. I explained that I saw their web site and was interested in selling a diamond ring. The ring is actually quite beautiful but from a previous engagement. He looks over at the lady sitting in the office that did not move an inch upon seeing a possible customer visit the very empty showroom. She rudely and without acknowledging me whatsoever yells across to the young man that she is not buying any rings. Disgusting way to treat a potential customer. If you don't buy jewelry then don't advertise as such. If you are inventory heavy and not selling then address the business plan. If you have no experience with dealing with customers then shut the door and don't attempt to be client-facing. Stuart that has been responding to messages. If you are truly the owner and for your sake I hope that this dark-haired lady is not your General Manager, you need to do a management overhaul. If she's a relative, put her somewhere else. I previously wrote a bad review after we brought my ring in for repair and found out we were misinformed on what was covered by saleswoman we purchased from. She had told us everything was covered as long as we had checked every 6 months which we did.When we brought ring in because it needed repair we were told that the repairs weren't covered,only diamonds were and it was going to cost us over $900 to repair. After I wrote review and sent an email I was contacted by store manager who realized ring was less than 2 years old and went out of her way to make sure it was repaired at no cost to us and she apologized for the saleswoman (who no longer works there) we purchased from for misinforming us on coverage. That is more than twice the price. Now considering gold is priced by weight and the set going price of gold that day, I would say Dunkins Diamonds is cheating their customers. As part of a commitment to excellence, I would like to share this experience. My husband and I visited the store on Cleveland ave in Ft. Myers 0n 10/21/15. We were greeted and sincerely helped by several employees with choices for a yellow diamond ring. The following day my husband got a phone call from an employee that used to be a nurse, after my husband said he was going to pass on the deal for now, she responded sincerely: "The next time you are out for a ride with your ill wife and common, please tell us you are just looking.". I have been in retail for over 40 years as a pharmacist and presently have mild cognitive decline. This comment would NEVER pass at PUBLIX, where shopping is a pleasure. I took my 4 carrot diamond engagement/wedding ring there to have the tip of one prong repaired & felt like I was dealing with a USED CAR SALES WOMAN! She tells me that the head of my ring is made out of white gold, when it's platinum then tells me the entire head needs to be replaced for a minimum of $477 because none of the prongs are good & starts writing up the repair order without even asking me if I want to proceed. When I told that's not happening today & I want it repaired she sharply told me, "That's not happening here & NO ONE will repair that." I snatched up my ring, took it Diamonds by Diane & it was ready & perfect in 3 days for $45! She insured it for $55,000 while she had it & DUNKIN'S DIAMONDS SMALL PRINT OF THE REPAIR TICKET SAID THAT IF IT'S LOST OR STOLEN THEN THE REPLACEMENT VALUE OF THE ITEM IS ONLY $45 .(((SO BEWARE PEOPLE)))!!!! read more
