My wedding band mysteriously shrunk during the pandemic so I took it back to be sized. Within a week I have it back AND the two stacker rings I fell in love with! Cheap jewelry that falls apart as soon as you get it. We bought my wife a ring with our sons birth stone in it and she has maybe been able to wear it for two weeks before a stone falls out. We have had it "repaired" twice and the same thing always happens. We tried to return it for in store credit and were denied because we signed a document saying we understand the item is non refundable. We signed with the understanding we were not buying some cheap Cracker Jack ring. So basically we have no options but to have this ring get "fixed" every time it breaks. I stopped into Dunkin's with my daughter on the 22nd to see if I could have a diamond on one of my wife's rings remounted on a stock band and to discuss the option of having a custom band made. It turns out my wife's diamond has a unique shape, so my in store options were limited and not really to my liking. Two sales associates were assisting me for the majority of my visit until the last fifteen to twenty minutes. This review is not about my interaction with Kara or the other associate that assisted Kara at her request, this review is about the store manager who without a request for his assistance took it upon himself interupt the sales interaction by inserting himself into an interaction he was not invited to join, but rudely taking over the entire conversation. I sat in that store for twelve minutes listening to this man rant about how great Dunkin's service is, the quality of the stock jewelry, the time needed and process of creating a custom ring, the challenge my diamond presents to the jeweler, and my indecisiveness to make a decision on a purchase during that visit. After the first five minutes, I patiently listened to him, saying "ok" to his statements when he paused to allow me to respond so he knew I understood what he was telling me. When I said I understood what he was saying and that I would think about it and maybe bring my wife in to lokk at and discuss options, he started talking over me over assuring me about the quality of products and services. When I started packing up my baby and baby items telling him I understood what he was saying but he was talking too much an I was losing interest, he stood over me and started rationalizing why I needed to listen to him and kept reiterating the first part of the conversation about my diamond and the complexities of a custom band as if I was supposed to submit to him, sit down, shut up, and do what he says. I literally told him after several minutes allowing him to stand over me posturing and talking down to me as if I was an ignorant pushover who was going to do what ever he told me to do that I was "no longer interested in what he had to say and yet your still talking to me". This pompous ass kept right on speaking over me insisting I let him finish because he was doing me a service by treating me like an ignorant fool. This manager talked himself out of earning my business, I am not there for him, he is there for me. It is amazing how businesses today think they can treat customers in an undignified manner and then expect or demand/command a customer to make purchase on a product or service they don't really want but are pressured or bullied into buying because of a pushy or intimidating manager. read more
