We are currently getting ready to paint the exterior of our house, as are my in-laws and my sister-in-law and her husband. Our whole family has been working with Jessica at Dunn-Edwards and she's been extremely helpful, knowledgeable and professional in helping us choose colors and finishes. She was timely in getting each of us photo renderings of what our houses would look like in the colors we were considering. My in laws just finished painting, and so did my sister-in-law. We are about to start our home, but so far everyone is super happy with the colors she helped us choose. She also had some great recommendations for interior rooms after we showed her some pinterest pictures of what we were aiming for. We really appreciate her help and assistance! Not being very knowledgeable about paints and painting, and receiving some incorrect information, we made mistakes, asked numerous questions, and sought help from this Dunn-Edwards in the process of painting a new condo. They helped us in so many ways... the service was excellent and they helped us correct some errors that were our fault. Moving, painting a new home, running errands cross town to pick up paint can be a nerve wracking time, but these guys were very helpful. It was gratifying to think you have an expensive disaster on your hands, only to have these professionals solve your problems. Highly recommended. read more

Two weeks ago, My brother is a painter and needed to stop by Dunn Edwards for a 5 gallon of paint for my home. They are doing curbside assistance which is great during Covid-19, the safer the better! I asked who I'm assuming is the store manager, a larger Hispanic male if I could use the bathroom and he told me they are not letting anyone in at the time, I understood, just thought I'd try. He started to take our order and I guess he got frustrated with the tablet he was using and decided to use the words "G_D damnit" in front of customers, made me uncomfortable and overall just really unprofessional in my opinion. After we ordered our paint, I see a gentleman, older African American guy let 3 different people in to use the bathroom right after the first gentleman left. 45 minutes pass and from what I saw, the only women of the store came out and apologized that it took so long, I told her what happened. She apologized on their behalf (which I don't think she should have to) but reassured me that she would talk to the guys. She was really nice and understanding. Poor customer service.....l stopped in today to the Dunn Edwards on East H Street to get some stain for a project. It was 4:40 PM the sole employee told me to come back tomorrow since they were closing at 5:00 PM. I thought to myself that's not for another 20 minutes and this was poor customer service so I said to the employee again, are you sure you don't have time? Again I was told , No. I told them I would be taking my business somewhere else. I found better results with great customer service down the road. Second time coming to this location and they are closed before their 5pm posted time. The open sign is still on but the doors and lights are off. It's very inconvenient, for anyone making the drive to show up to a closed shop. I understand that things happen...I would recommend leaving a note if the store needed to close early, it would be considerate to the customer. I had a consultation last week regarding the exterior and some interior of our home. I had the pleasure of working with Jessica. AMAZED by her professionalism, knowledge of color, and knowledge of paint products. Extremely creative, talented, and has a great personality! I haven't had a consultation before and she made it so calming and exciting. She walked us through everything we needed to know. Yesterday, August 14, 2018 I visited the Dunn-Edward's store on East H Street in Chula Vista, California. I arrived at about 4:35 PM to buy 3 gallons of paint. I brought a sample to color match. I spoke with a lady who said it was probably too late to do a color match. She spoke with the store manager who confirmed that I would have to come back the next day because they closed at 5:00 PM. I drove to Home Depot and they did the color match and mixed up 3 gallons in about 20 minutes. I will never buy anything from Dunn-Edward's from now on. They are lazy, rude people. read more

I cannot say enough about how Megan is a completely hidden gem at this place. I walked in there with my colors already picked out. But then I sat down with Megan who educated me about how my colors would actually appear differently on my walls--and end up not being what I wanted. She was innovative in that she was able to find pictures of my home off the internet and picked out the right colors by analyzing the tile and wood flooring from the pictures! I cannot say enough good things about Megan's professionalism, creativity and downright knowledge about paint! If she hadn't been there to explain how the colors would have actually looked in the house itself, I would have regretted choosing the colors that I originally did. Thank you Megan! My husband & I painted the exterior of our home so we were referred to the stores color expert, Laney Thomas prior to painting our home. Laney was outstanding! She showed us several different color schemes which allowed us the ability to see what our house would potentially look like prior to painting. Not to mention the service is completely free of charge. Laney was patient, professional & extremely efficient. She was eager to help and always followed up on my questions.
