Gotta admit, I was not expecting Five-Star service at a paint store...especially when not planning to buy anything. However, Store Manager Mike Vanneste happily assessed the quality of my "old" paint, put it on the machine to shake it thoroughly, and gave me a couple of stir sticks to be sure I was fully prepared to touch up the interior walls of my home. Nice, right! Then, a few weeks later, I needed to repeat the process to touch up additional spots with different paint colors. Supervisor Kyra was equally friendly and helpful. Also, no charge to assess and shake my "old" cans of paint. Must be a Dunn-Edwards thing! Worth noting, I have long been a Dunn-Edwards customer - both for our townhome and the HOA in which it is located, but neither Mike nor Kyra knew that at the time. That's Five-Star service, as well as Five-Star products! read more

I just came from D-E on Oracle. They had 3 customers in the store without masks. They were interacting with staff at the counter. One of the people was the manager in charge (an assistant manager). All of them completed their business with no effort to obtain or wear a mask, and this on a day we're setting new records in the pandemic. The manager lacked a spine. I spoke with him, asked him why he is failing to enforce a posted policy, and he said people are really angry right now. Frankly, if the same people who are going to rallies without masks are in his store and he's too timid to speak up, this place is simply unsafe. If you have a coworker whose deodorant is failing, that's the time for tact. But this is not a time for a manager who can't draw the line. Something as simple as a handwritten sign on the door, "NO ENTRY WITHOUT MASK", would take care of this issue. And if someone enters without one, decline entry. You can't go to Costco without a mask. No one is angry about it in the store. They can't smoke inside the store. Well, maybe with this manager they can. If you are clear you will not have pushback. Wimpy enforcement leads to arguments. Try to enter a hospital without a mask. You'll see competent enforcement and willing compliance. I waited for them to bring my paint to the car (I refused to wait indoors with these issues) and in that time 2 more customers entered and shopped with no masks. That's the reason for a one star review. The store is not a safe shopping experience. I would give it 3 stars for a retail customer otherwise. They charge retail customers much higher prices than the contractors, making it clear we don't really rate much with them. If I were a contractor and there was not a pandemic, then I'd rate them 5 stars. The contractors get fair pricing and good products. But for everyone, unsafe is simply unsafe. As a small business owner, ​I love Dunn Edwards paints and when I need fast and attentive service I go to the dunn edwards on Oracle Rd behind the egee's. They always answer the phone quickly, attentively, respectfully and always make sure the order is correct before we end the call no matter who answers, whether it's Mariajose, Andrew, Kyra,Katie, ​Mikey(back then) or Mike. They have everything needed to complete any painting or home repair projects no matter the job size both interior and exterior. They have great paint mixers Freddy and Frank who always make sure my paint matches are as close as possible to my clients existing paint color and they always have the orders mixed and ready to go the same hour no matter how big. As a contractor I was paired with a Dunn Edwards agent, Jean who has done the upmost job in making sure we have everything we need to succeed in our projects. The same goes with anybody I have interacted with at this store. From great prices to heart warming smiles. I cant help but leaving with a huge smile on my face and feeling confident because I have Dunn Edwards quality to back me up in all my project. Have you met MJ?(Maria Jose) The nicest and sweetest associate! We have been there many times and she has helped us at least 3 of those visits. I am a BIG fan of Dunn-Edward's paint but it's people like MJ that will make me specifically come here and recommend this location to everyone. She goes above and beyond every time. Choosing paint colors is no easy task and the folks at Dunn-Edwards certainly help make this daunting decision is wee bit easier. From explaining each product and finish to providing an in store consultation to help guide you the best decision, their staff is quite involved and friendly. They also offer a color visualization tool and mobile app for those that want to test colors out via computer before purchasing samples. So far, I've brought four samples home and they are pretty much an exact match of their catalogue. I have no doubt that their quality is solid. read more

These guys are LIFE SAVERS! If you are doing an exterior surface fix up on your house, be it painting or fixing your stucco, or both; eschew the big-box stores and come here, the staff is excellent, helpful, but best of all, very knowledgeable. You can maybe save some pennies at a big box store, but good luck getting your project done right the first time. Very helpful store for choosing colors, their computer program can simulate your project with colors you select, and the staff is very skilled at using the program with your uploaded photo. Much better than the computer services at the Sherwin Williams store where the computer was very slow. Actually I was at the store on Thornydale, not the Oracle rd store. read more

Tyrone is the man! I came in with a paint sample that I wanted to match. After much searching he was not sure if he could match it exactly, so we began to troubleshoot how we would figure this out together. Eventually he said if I knew the dates I had the work done and the painter I had originally hired he would be able to find the paint that we used. Tyrone went through his computer database of every purchase made by my painter who originally did the job on my house.
