Beware the coupons can be a farce because if you're not extra careful you will miss the exclusion list inside of a list. Wanted to purchase Black and Decker cordless grass trimmer. Had checked the list to make sure B&D not on exclusion list. It wasn't. But apparently they have another list hidden. This list is another exclusion list without product names. It just excludes all items associated with that kind of product. In other words they won't honor the coupon for any regular priced trimmers or edgers. Period! Don't worry though. They're so friendly and helpful here! Had to go to the bathroom before I shopped and they walked me to it since it's like a maze in there and showed me where the bird food is. This is a small but pretty fun store! They have a large selection of anything home type hardware you can think of. I do like how the associates regularly ask if you need help as opposed to other stores where you need to practically hunt someone down to help you. Today I have a small project and I need a 20 foot piece of one inch black pipe. So I called 3 ace stores and only 22 Nd carries full length pipe. But now I needed it cut in half so I can transport it. And join with a coupling, supplied there. No worries, ready in one hour for will call. I have Ace rewards so that was 12.00 off the total. It was ready when I arrived. The store is so big I had to ask where pipe was. They carried it to my truck and tied tape on the end to warn drivers behind me. Worked out great. i'm reviewing the Ace, in Tucson, on 22nd. i love this place because it literally has everything you could want. :) i was there on 9/18/25 @ 3:25 pm & had an excellent experience & a very bad experience, both with cashiers. first i'd like to send out KUDOS to Aida who truly cares about the customers. she has EXCELLENT customer service skills. starting with a huge smile, a hello & how are you doing today greeting. if she's not a trainer, she should be. she's a keeper for sure. :) :) now i'd like to review Misty, the other cashier. not pleasant at all. :( :( no smile, no hello, no nothing!!! she made me feel like i was bothering her by asking her a question. seriously lady? she should be working behind a wall so no one can see her or have to be taken care by her. WOW!!! i suggest she take lessons from Aida & learn how to treat customers. maybe she needs to be retrained. just saying! bottom line is "treat customers the way you'd like to be treated or how you'd like a family member to be treated". i will continue to shop at this Ace & i will not allow Misty's HORRIBLE customer service taint my feeling for this store. i truly hope the manager sits down with her & explain how she should be with customers. thank you, Ace, for being there with all your choices of items. btw: the store is very clean & organized. This is the Grand Daddy of all Ace Hardwares. HUGE! Great inventory and selection. Tons of everything. And that includes employees. How do they support so many employees to work there at a time? I mean, there's an army there. When they aren't helping customers, which they thrive on, there are so many employees there that when they aren't helping someone, they are in groups of three or four having a good time. Morale must be pretty high. You will always find someone to help you navigate the store or give you assistance with advice on your project. Unlike some big box hardware stores where you need a hunting license to find an employee. I love the vibe here. And of course, true to Ace Hardwares, there's more than hardware and tools, albeit that they have a great inventory of both. They have Hot Wheels and Matchboxes. Models, trains, RC vehicles, and all sorts of stuff in their Hobby Store. They have a great selection of candy that you can't find anywhere else. They have a great bottled soda inventory of various flavors and brands. Shoot. Even when I can't find what I'm looking for in this store, a rare occasion, I always walk out with some candy and a couple of bottles of pop. And around 12 different brands of gourmet popcorn. Hey, you want the best popcorn? Get one of the Whirly Pop poppers there, priced at a really decent price. It's an adventure just exploring the store. Go have some fun! 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Tucson-top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. Been shopping at the Ace Hardware on 22nd and Kolb for over 40 years now. Always fun as it is a great store. Today I went in to get some tooling for my Dremel tool kit. The employee got the kit out from behind the glass and took it up front for me. That was a first. Made me feel like I was a potential thief. I felt very insulted. A few days ago, I went in to grab some hardware items for my project, after I grabbed my items I wanted to walk around and shop a bit. After awhile I notice I was being followed by two employees for no reason, and it made my experience horrible. I didn't think they treated their customers like this. On top of that NO ONE even asked if I needed help. I thought Ace was the helpful place... One lady completely ignored me when I walked in and she was the one of the employees that was following me and I was able to catch her name, Tiffany. This is one of the best Ace Hardware's I have ever been in. It is close to where I work, so stopping in is easy peezy. . I know just about everything I need...THEY WILL HAVE IT! It is also fun to putz around there. They have old signs (and other nostalgia items), that remind me of a simpler time. Even during our ever changing normal as COVID-19 evolves, the shelves are stocked, staff is cleaning all the time, and customer service is EXCELLENT. What a store! My guy and I visited another Ace and we were told go to this location on 22nd and Kolb because it would knock our socks off. That guy was not kidding. This store is huge! You can find just about anything you need here and then some! I was impressed by selection and variety I haven't seen in other hardware/home improvement stores around. Not only did we find barbecues but all sorts of grills, smokers and various type of wood chips we've not seen elsewhere. Accessories for grilling, gadgets, brands and tableware but cookware, ceramic pans,Lodge brand cookware (some I've not seen before in stores), loads of Corelle brand ( even those replica old time patterns ones), some never before seen by my flavored "candies" by my eyes, pots for plants, bottled soda, some camping gear, teapots (really intersecting ones), rocking camp chairs(we've been looking for those), and hardware! It's been so last century since I've seen nails and screws sold by the pound. Whew! We spent quite some time looking atound, but to be honest I wanted to come here when my other half and I were told they sell chickens(chicks). Said to be one of the biggest Ace hardware stores in the country , maybe one of the oldest too? It probably has everything you need , except what was needed to fix our older lock. Many cool pedal cars ,bikes, flyer" wagons in front , for kids & kids at heart . Definitely the biggest Ace Hardware store I have ever been to.. Compared to the one on my side of town with terrible customer service and everything is locked up this one is pretty cool. Although they didn't have the exact item I needed I found a similar substitute that will work. I would classify this as more of a general store than a hardware store. They even have a hobby store and I was surprised to learn that they have designer spray paint cans. You pick out the color and style of nozzle you need for your spray and you are good to go. This is a nice Ace Hardware location. It's large, well stocked and well staffed. There's always someone available if you have a question or need help finding something. I was there earlier this morning. I first called and spoke with Brittany in hardware. I asked a handful of questions about having locks rekeyed. She was polite and explained the process. When I got in there, Aaron was the one that actually rekeyed my locks. He was also very nice and helpful. While I waited for my locks to be rekeyed, I talked to Brittany about my sliding glass door. She suggested that I get new rollers put on it and explained to me it isn't a one person job but that it's also not hard to do. I was in the store maybe a total of 15 minutes from entry until I checked out. Overall my experience was pleasant. read more

Biggest Ace Hardware west of the Mississippi River. It's basically a roadside attraction. It essentially takes up the entire strip mall except for a hair salon. Huge housewares section. A big arcane soda drink section. They have baby chickens. Lots of normal and not so normal stuff. The Ace staff is very attentive and knowledgeable if you have questions, or they'll let you browse. They own the hobby center on the other side of the hair salon. Models and trains sold as well as displayed. It's an old school hobby store. Lots of pictures of the place are on display. I went into Ace looking for a particular set of screws I knew would be tough to find. I know this store has an impressive inventory of such hardware, so I figured if anyone will have them - this store would. Shout out to Hector and Aaron who went above and beyond to not only help me, but ensure the set of precision screws they ultimately found (took some effort!) would work for the specific application I needed them for! That level of customer service and care is as refreshing as it is rare! I had three other employees there ensure I was being taken care of too - which is a far cry from those other "depots" where you can't even find an employee, let alone one that cares to help. I love this store. The "Hardware" in the title of this ACE is totally deceptive. This is not just a hardware store. This is an everything-you-didn't-know-you-wanted-until-you-saw-it-here store. Super helpful employees. I came in for a yeti mug for an Xmas gift (everywhere else in town was sold out) and was pleasantly surprised to find that the store would do custom engraving. The customer in front of me had a large order so I said I'd come back. The employee Rick said if I left my name and number he would engrave the mug and it would be ready the next day. I received a call from Rick the next am letting me know it was ready. Great customer service, nice store, will be back for more mugs. read more

The staff was more then helpful. I was asked at the door what I was looking for and they directed me to it. I was served by the person running the key department quickly and proficiently. I then was directed to the home goods department for Local honey and was immediately greeted and shown where the honey was. I haven't ever had service like this anywhere in years. I typically love this ACE, however, amidst a pandemic, masking has been minimal, and while physical distancing is enforced in line, it is not throughout the remainder of the store. No masks required for customers, and apparently not for employees either...though shirts and shoes are. Right now I'm more concerned about masks than either of those, frankly, as a frontline healthcare worker who wants to reduce community spread and keep people safe. For shame.
