This doc. was my mothers doc. when she was in a nursing home in Virginia Beach in the mid 1990s. I have many of the nurse's notes of my mother's incarceration. Even though my mother lived alone, in her own apartment in New York, my brother, then living in Virginia Beach, virtually kidnapped her from the convalescent center where she was recuperating from a fall in her home. I also worked in this convalescent center as a nurse. Even though Dr. Dunnington knew I existed, in Florida, he NEVER, not even ONCE, advised me of the severe depression my mother was having. In the notes, many times, it says she "missed her family and friends". I feel this doctor should have demanded to know where I was, my telephone number, and address, to advise me of my mother's despair...but, he never did....NEVER. I wanted Mom to come to Florida for a visit, but he said, in a note, to my brother, that she was unfit to travel. Yet, she was fit to travel from Va. Beach to NC. I was thoroughly disgusted by the inactions of this doctor in regards to my mother. I was Mom's sole caregiver from the time my father passed away in 1979 until she was kidnapped in 1994. My brother actually went home right before our father passed away, "to send out my bills". If you have a loved one under this doc's care....beware. read more
