In this letter I was diagnosed with "severe" conditions that I do not feel two sessions could possibly facilitate. I was also insulted by the doctor, specifically referred to as "ambivalent about receiving treatment for my severe conditions". After one of my surgeries, he even came to see me personally, which meant the world to me. What I respected most about him was that he was never afraid to tell me the truth when I needed to hear it. At one point, another pain management doctor had me on extremely high amounts of medication, and I didn't even realize how much it was affecting me because I trusted the treatment plan. Dr. Melnick suggested a short rehab stay to evaluate my actual pain level, and it honestly changed my life. By that Monday, I felt like a new person, and I never went back down that road again. I've been MD hopping since 2006, trying to find a compassionate and trustworthy provider. Glad I found Dr. Oh. I think he is an amazing physician. He's smart and dedicated to his patients. I like that we can call him for urgent care and he can squeeze us in during his office hours. He's pretty much available every day of the week which is a major plus for me. You never know when you're gonna need a doctor for those moments that are not quite emergent but urgent enough that you need a doctor asap.
