After finishing our beers, we journeyed across the street and were greeted by the lovely Lovina. After seeing the work and meeting her we were impressed, but she insisted we make an appointment to come back and meet John so we could get a better feel for the company as a whole. She was very helpful and up-front about availability and pricing, so after we set our date two weeks later I contacted them immediately to set up an appointment. John and Lovina worked around my schedule and met us late on a Thursday night since I commute in and out of the city and they were busy on the weekends with weddings. They spent over an hour and a half talking through our wedding ideas, learning about our venue, getting to know our personalities and showing us various examples of their work. Never once did we feel rushed or pressured in any way. My fiance hates posing and pushy photographers he's dealt with in the past for friend's weddings. When we let John know this, he was quick to explain that he will do only what we want and he is fast with the posed family shots, bridal party, etc. We were so impressed with them that we booked them the next day and are taking them with us to Wilmington, Delaware next April! She does not charge for her time and she does this out of the goodness of her heart and her love for the animals.It's proven that a beautiful, professional looking picture gets the attention of potential adopters versus a sad one behind a cage. She has helped us get our dogs adopted and I am grateful to her for that. She is a pleasure to work with and you can see her love for the animals in the photo shoots. I chose to do a city hall wedding because - I cringe at the…read morethought of setting tables and picking flowers and making a big deal out of everything; - exchanging pleasantry with extended family and feigning interest all day felt like an even bigger chore; - I had to make an obnoxious political statement about millennials & fiscally responsible life choices & wedding industrial complex yada yada; - I have big time daddy issue and partly had the 'bullshit wedding' to troll my dad. but unconventional quirks aside, deep down every girl wanted to look conventionally pretty for that one special day. I was thrilled to find someone experienced in city hall weddings. Tom knows his way around the Philly city hall very well. He knows all the spots and angles, and if i hadn't been half an hour late for my 2 hr appointment (blaming it on the pouring rain/highway traffic) he was planning on going to a beautiful park nearby for more pictures. we got solid 90 minutes of pictures. my friend took pictures from the same angles and we saw those pictures immediately and thought they turned out really well - until we saw the professionally edited ones!
