He refused to return phone calls and I eventually filed a complaint against him with the Board of Dental Examiners. The Assistant Attorney General who was prosecuting the complaint told me that his license had been revoked because of numerous complaints against him. I am appalled that the State of Colorado has continued to let him practice dentistry. Twenty plus years later I am still spending money to correct mistakes made by Dr. Kuljis.

This takes months of recovery (and a few thousand $$ out of pocket). When it was time for the new tooth this dentist moved away. I went back to Wachuta thinking he just had the LAST bit to do. "How bad could it be?" Well I had my records, X-Rays etc. sent over and told the front everything from beginning to end. When I got there, there were no discussions, no x-rays taken, nothing. I thought for sure he had went over everything in my file. I was wrong. He proceeded to anesthetize my left side. I immediately had a reaction to it and he ignored that. From there it got much worse. He started drilling my good teeth. I panicked and tried to stop him every way I could. It felt like torture as he would not stop. When he did it was not for me. I asked him what he was doing and he said a bridge. I told him that was not what I was there for. He said, "it is easier, cheaper and will take less time" I explained that it was already planted and he ignored me. I have not been able to sleep, eat, drink since. My jaw is messed up and as far as the anesthesia... I told the front office what was happening. My right eye was spazzing and my left eye was burning and watering and I couldn't drive. They completely dismissed me. I drove a few blocks and sat for 3 hours. Still couldn't drive. He should not be allowed to practice. Don't even think you'll get away free with this Psycho.

I visited Dr. Wachuta's practice in Golden this morning to have a permanent crown put on…read more Initially I was there last month for a 6 month cleaning and Dr. Wachuta noticed that one of my upper teeth had a cavity and a chip after he studied the X-ray. A week later I went back in to have the crown prep done which included building up the tooth first. Dr. Paul Heilman performed the work assisted by Terri. He was very easy to talk to and walked me through each step as he went along. Terri is very professional and just all around fun to talk to. Getting the permanent crown was a breeze thanks to Terri's professionalism; I was in and out of there in about half an hour!!! If you need work done I would recommend booking it with Dr. Paul Heilman; with Terri as the assistant. Nancy always does my cleanings and she is great too!! They are all very caring professionals. Dr. Peters is very friendly, personable, and knowledgeable as are his assistants and staff. They taught me the proper way and techniques to brushing that I never learned elsewhere and as a result have made me a true believer of the importance of oral hygiene. As a result I haven't had a cavity in almost 3 years after initially coming to him with an extensive and expensive mouth full of cavities. I will continue to return to Dr. Peters every 6 months for my regular cleanings and exams and use him for all of my dental work even though he is out of my insurance providers network. I know I will always get the best care and quality from him and it will be a sad day when Dr. Peters retires because he is an irreplaceable resource.

I rue the day I agreed to let the goodly dentist agree to fix my teeth. I had a bite issue from…read morepoorly made crowns from a previous dentist. I just needed a small touch up from one that was a bit too low. He Guaranteed me that he could fix my bite. $3000 for a $150 bite guard that I was to wear for far too long to "get my jaw right". It was never not right, just a tooth a little too low. After that, instead of raising the one lower tooth, he took a dremel and ground my others down, making them sharp as razors so they constantly cut my tongue, and after too many visits to get it "right"--or even close to that, I gave up and cut my losses. I've filed them down myself with a nail file to prevent a ravaged tongue. And that was an additional $3000--$6000 up front for the whole deal--cash out of pocket. That was a couple grand more than the original 5 crowns to begin with. Not one day has gone by that I am not in pain and it has been years. I've been to 4 other dentists and none of them want to touch the problem now. I can no longer chew like one should, so many foods are taboo and most aren't chewed well, creating more problems. No grinding, like for salad. I can't even put my teeth together unless there is food to fill in the rough terrain. Like gravel on gravel. My only real mistake--going there in the first place. Nice guy--certainly. Occlusal specialist--not even close. I've few regrets in life--but this tops the list. I could drone on, but I needed to put this to rest here.

I tried to get them to address their mistake several times and even reported them to the BBB. Six years later I am still getting a bill; and changed the date of my last appointment to make it seem more recent. I had already gone to a different dentist. The dentist is great; but the accounting system is not accurate. Also they never transferred my dental records to the new dental office, even when requested several times. Phone calls never received. After six years they are still sending a bill for charges that they did not submit to insurance. My records with insurance does not show that the claim was submitted.

Dr. Powers takes the time to listen to your concerns and explains easily what needs to be done. Don't let the hammer fool you. His gently technique is above and beyond any other dentist I've been to. On major treatments he calls you later to see how your doing. To me that's a plus. When it was time for new dentures he took the time to be sure everything lined up, size of teeth, color and match with the bottom teeth. I can't imagine going to any other dentist. I highly recommend this practice.
