After running the diagnostics, checking the fluids etc, they couldn't find anything to explain the sudden failure. We ended up getting just an oil change and the mechanic noted that the transmission fluid was darker than it should be and advised we take it to the dealer. Even though it wasn't a big ticket repair for them, we appreciated them getting us in quickly and being through.
