She just turned 12 last week and so with so much joy and excitement, they went to the cafe. The woman (red-haired) opened the door with NO smile, NO friendliness and even after my husband said with so much joy that our daughter was 12. Guess what her reaction was? She said, "Is she really 12?" She was mean and gave terrible customer service. Why would she start with such distrust when he just said our daughter was 12 and had been waiting for a year to come? On the other hand, there was a woman with dark hair who was VERY kind. She smiled and welcomed them and the customer service was excellent. She explained about the cheesecake, different types of milk, etc. We have lived in France for almost 7 years and are TIRED of awful service. Please tell the dark-haired worker she did a great job and ask the red-haired woman to consider her actions because it brings down your reputation. We hope to have a better experience next time.

The cats were lethargic and all sleeping until we were about to leave near 7 pm when a few got up from there slumber to head to the back were they are feed. The pecan pie looked appealing but that is were it ended. It was not sickly sweet like an American pecan pie but was more like a tart thickness, boring and without joy sim it up They do have a fee based upstairs coworking space which I thought was cool, perhaps WeWork could learn a trick or 2 from them but otherwise I will cross this of and move on Perhaps we were unlucky but if you do want to visit make a reservation and try to get to get there when the cats are active

My first visit to Garden State was not exactly what I was expecting. First, there are two locations…read morein the Bellecour area, maybe one block from each other. So when my friend and I couldn't find each other and both insisted that we were at the Bellecour location, it took us a few minutes to realize there were actually two Bellecour locations. We decided to eat at this one since they had tables set up outside and it was a nice, sunny day. We sat down around 11:15 and the restaurant was not serving lunch yet so my friend ordered an espresso and I a tea. The tea was okay but nothing special and it cost almost 3€ which I should have expecting, seeing as how this is a tourist area. They finally started serving lunch around noon so I ordered the Italien Croque Maison which was mozarella, grana padano, tomato, aubergine, and fresh basil on a toasted whole wheat sandwich bread. My friend ordered the Chevre Wrap which was chevre, tomato, lettuce, black olive, and artichoke on a white flour wrap, toasted in a panini press. Both came with a side salad of fresh greens, sundried tomato, a tasty balsamic dressing, and topped with sesame and poppy seeds. I tasted both sandwiches and they were both yummy. The melted mozarella sandwich turned out to be a bit too heavy for a warm, sunny day though so I would definitely recommend the wrap if it's hot out. We really wanted smoothies with our lunch but this location doesn't serve them until April so we headed to the second location to try the Bonne Mine, an orange-flavored smoothie. I definitely don't think it was thick enough to be called a smoothie. It was more like a mix of fresh fruit juices. But it was very tasty! Also, at this other location, they had an easily accessible refrigerated to-go section so you could just grab a cold sandwich or wrap, plus whatever sides you want, like tabouli or a salad, and various desserts such as yogurt, fromage blanc, or tiramisu. I might try the to-go experience next time. I'm definitely glad to know this place exists, even if it wasn't absolutely amazing, because it's fast and fresh and somewhat more healthy than other fast food options in the area.

Being new in Lyon, I didn't know where to look for interesting places to eat, but in my heart I was…read moresure the best spots were not those in plain sight. Oh, how I was wrong, since in Lyon good food is everywhere, and Garden State, centered at the heart of Place Bellecour offers just that. It is a great spot to have a quick or more relaxed lunch while gazing at the passers-by. The offer is of constant quality but of variable choice, so ask for the weekly specials. Most dishes are healthy, still being filling, and there are plenty of vegetarian options. I recommend you to take your time, and enjoy your meal in the sun, you're in Lyon after all!
