First time calling them based on online reviews (but didn't see this one in Yelp though). Service performed - duct cleaning, AC/Furnace fan cleaning, Dryer vent cleaning, disinfecting (free - included in svc). Very professional, price is competitive with other cleaning companies with better Yelp reviews, took about 1.5 hrs++ but below 2 hrs, equipment appear to be stronger than the previous Chinese company I contracted with years ago for duct cleaning. Service ++ - Alex (owner) was also able to replace my dryer ducting as the current one was a low grade one that gets flattened and doesn't go back into orig shape; he also connected it and put it all back in place for me. - checked my Humidifier and recommended to replace the pad; (I later went to Home Depot and got one for $12 plus tax) and replaced it later that day Tip - make sure to describe what your place looks like so Alex knows where to position his truck best once he arrives, just to avoid any surprises - Accepts cheque payments as I didn't have enough cash read more

I hired Dust Chasers because of the great reviews I'd read on other sites. I took a half day off work to meet them at my home to clean the dryer vent. One of the men called to let me know the approx time they'd arrive. Great! It was within the time they'd mentioned. He came to the door and stated that his partner couldn't get their truck through our laneway to reach the house and that they'd have to use their portable unit. He then left to confer with his partner then came back with his apologies - they hadn't brought the portable unit. I didn't mention the inconvenience of taking time off of work. He was lovely about it and I thought, well, that's life. We arranged for an approximate time the next day and he said they'd contact me to arrange a time. I then received an email from Alex, the owner, stating that the original quoted cost - $150 - would now be $200 because they needed to use a portable unit instead of a truck-mounted unit. I asked if they could do it for the original quoted price, since they inadequately informed me of the price. Alex refused. So we've hired a reputable company for the service, at a cheaper cost. Bottom line: as a business owner, Alex should have mentioned truck-mounted versus portable units and the differences in price at the start of the transaction. Had I been told the cost would be $200, I would have looked elsewhere for a better quote and been able to use our dryer a week earlier, instead of having it pile up in the laundry closet like a landfill site.
