Situation: I received a pre-approval letter from a different mortgage broker. Three weeks from closing, I followed up with this "other" firm to check on the appraisal, and learned that they had completely dropped the ball. I panicked, as I thought the loan was in the bag. I called Dustin Schaff less than three weeks from close. Action: Dustin and Chuck performed tremendously over the next few weeks to get up to speed. Given the complexity of the loan, this was no small feat, but they focused on the transaction, and appropriately structured what ended up being the final product. Result: The transaction closed. He was very clear throughout, honest, unbelievably communicative, and helped us get not only a great rate but also a substantial refund after issues with the bank's underwriters delayed our closing time. Overall, I'd highly recommend Dustin to my friends and family. The bank, despite the small hiccup on closing day, has also been great. Overall they have competitive rates and certain details about their physician loan program that made them the best choice for us.
