HUGE shout out to Jay and Linda for coming through for me on Valentine's Day. I called because it was the closest flower shop, and my boyfriend had just left for a haircut. I thought I could at least attempt to see if they could make a delivery. Obviously they were very busy but it was worth a shot. I stayed on the phone talking with jay because he was very kind, open and helpful. I didn't know what I was doing or picking out....but I was going to find one way or another to get to Dutch petals just because of their customer service! Long story short, Jay was able to squeeze a delivery in to me with another delivery he had nearby me so that I could surprise my boyfriend with an absolutely beautiful flower bouquet. Very poor customer service. I usually do not write poor reviews because most my experiences at other businesses in the area have been positive, however I have to go out of my way writing on this one. These people do not know how to start an appropriate conversation and are impolite throughout the conversation. I'm sure they are being selective according to the other reviewers. However, their overall service to the Long Island community is biased and unfair. It's possibly because they do not implement the American Long Island heart-warming culture as experienced at local businesses. Their unprofessionalism is very apparant and shows lack of education. Be cautious and think twice when dealing with such a company. read more

I ordered the above flowers above because I thought it had a beautiful vase and was a very full arrangement with calming seaside colors. However the image of the flowers I received as a thank you, was in a paper box instead of a vase!!! And had hot pink tissue paper! The image above has multiple hydrangeas and what they sent me has 1 and it looks wilted. I paid close to $100 for this arrangement and what was delivered wasn't even worth 50. I am appalled that they would advertise such a nice arrangement and quite frankly deliver crap. Then ask me to write a review. I would like a partial refund! read more

Flowers are always "past their prime " particularly the bouquets sold in Citarella. The flowers I sent recently from Dutch Petals for a friend's birthday we're also super disappointing. My advice- spend a little more and go to Topiare in Southampton. read more

Absolutely the worst possible customer service. They screwed up the flowers for my Grandmother's funeral - including simply misspelling the card in a manner your average non-lazy first grader could have overcome - and then simply didn't answer the phone all afternoon. The voicemail doesn't even work. The level of incompetence in this business makes one think they are literally doing it badly on purpose. read more
