Alair homes is run by Graeme Bell and Monica Affleck. They have been responsible for numerous poor…read moreprojects and have caused a great deal of harm to many families. They have a pattern of billing irregularities that adds costs to projects and deliberately deceives clients. Often the work that is done is substandard and leads to extra costs for the clients. They never respond to emails and have experienced numerous lawsuits. As a contractor they have left numerous trades without payment for months and sometimes don't even pay at all. At times the relationship has been so bad that contractors will refuse to work on your home when you mention the Alair name. They have been featured on cbc marketplace and have been exposed for fraudulent workmanship. Even former employees of Alair will tell you that Graeme and Monica will lie to make a quick buck. In this case, the only real solution would be to use a reputable builder. Even with so many problems Graeme will never change his way of doing business so the only solution is to really understand the depth of how truly awful it is to have them build your home firsthand. If anyone is considering using them as a builder I will talk to you in person to give a true sense of the gravity of your decision.
