SAVE YOURSELF TROUBLE AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!! NP Acosta did not prescribe oral antibiotics to me, for an abscess on my side, or send cultures to a lab (which are standard procedures).... After her botch job, trying to pop my abscess, and prescription of a measly cream...my condition became worse. I had to go to a dermatologist. Turns out I had a staph infection!! The derm had to drain me, on two separate days. I needed 3 antibiotics... Had I listened to the nurse practitioners advice, I could have ended up in the hospital! I spent 6 days in pain, running fever. It took three weeks to heal. Had it been properly treated, I would NOT have had to go through that. Front desk staff is RUDE. Office manager is even RUDER. These folks were there when I needed them back at the end of March 2017 in a big way... Was at a charity skeet shoot up on the Livingston-St Helena Parish line when I got lazy with my supporting hand which I let slide down the forestock on my pump shotgun... Outcome was I thought I'd endured the "pump pinch" on my pinky finger but in fact had damn near sliced the tip of my pinky finger clean off... Called them up and asked if they could handle the job of sewing it back on...they said sure we can...so I saddled up and headed that way (preferred to get my doctoring close to home since I didn't know of any places to handle the job where I was)... walked in showed them the situation and they handled up... Pleased with the work...and will use them in the future not only because they did a bang up job for me but they are also extremely convenient to my place of residence... read more

Normally I dread having to go to Urgent Care clinics but this is the BEST Urgent Care I have ever been to. The service was excellent. Paperwork was only 2 pages. The front desk staff helped me right when I walked in the door. After receiving my insurance card and paperwork, I was seen immediately. My total visit probably lasted 15-20 minutes. I would suggest this urgent care to anyone needing to see a doctor quickly. read more

Today was my first visit to Dutchtown Urgent Care. I was handed two pages of paperwork to complete, was taken to the back almost immediately after, my problems were addressed within ten minutes by the doctor on staff, I was given prescriptions both sent electronically to the pharmacy of my choosing and a paper copy, and I was on my way in less than an hour. The staff was friendly and I would visit again for my "urgent" care needs. read more

I visited Dutchtown Urgent Care on Saturday, February 4th of 2017. I had a silicone earplug lodged inside of my ear. Before going to the clinic, I called to make sure that they could remove it. The nurse reassured me twice that they should be able to remove the earplug. After the doctor looked inside of my ear, she immediately stated that she could not remove the plug. I asked her if I could receive a refund since she didn't do a single thing for me, and she said that she assessed me by looking inside of my ear. That visit cost me $50. So, I went to an amazing ENT that removed it for me on Monday. I absolutely cannot believe that one single look in my ear could be worth my $50. Where is the human decency in taking my money without giving me any kind of medical help? They even TOLD me that they should be able to complete the procedure before I got there. Why couldn't they look in my ear to make sure of it before making me pay the $50 for absolutely NO reason. I am furious. I will never visit this clinic again. read more
