I came to this law firm at a very difficult time in my life. My Mom was diagnosed with dementia and I brought her here to gain power of attorney for my brothers and I. No one at the firm showed us the least bit of consideration or kindness. The length of time from our meeting to getting the paperwork was weeks and I was desperately trying to get my Moms affaires in order. When I asked for updates I got nothing. When they finally sent the paperwork they screwed up and had to get them redone. Months later, I had another legal matter come up and thought, well let me at least just get a couple questions answered. I emailed them to ask questions. I received a very curt response with spelling errors that made no sense. I wrote back repeatedly for clarification and was ignored. Sadly I found out the hard way about this firms lack of experience and singular focus which is to generate fees. My case was poorly managed from the beginning, after meeting with a partner I was quickly handed off to an attorney who had very little experience with my type of case. To say my case was mismanaged would be an understatement, Motions were filed without my knowledge, motions were filed with spelling errors, motions had to be refiled because they had not been researched so they had to be corrected, of course all at my expense. There was very little communication and definitely no plan except of course when it was time to request more money. I found out on two occasions that a court date had happened from the opposing party, talk about embarrassing. I tried to talk/meet with the partner I initially met with, but was told she was not available. When I made comments about my concerns about how my case was being handled they were brushed aside and ignored. After ~30k in fees I am left with a case that is quite frankly a mess. Thankfully for most of us it's rare that we need an attorney, my advice is do your research find out the actual attorney that will be assigned to your case and check the court house records to see if they have actually handled cases of this type and lastly insist on an approach, if they tell you we'll wait and see how it goes, oh and how quickly can you get send in a check, find another attorney. read more
