Parkway Shops is an area located at River City Marketplace. It's a strip of stores located across…read morefrom the main hustle and bustle of the Marketplace. The main large stores here are Dick's Sporting Goods, Marshalls, and Ulta. You'll find some restaurants in this shopping center like Newts, BJs, and Moe's. There are also several smaller businesses like Insight (which sells items such as Pandora and Vera Bradley), and a nail salon. This shopping center is very well maintained. There's plenty of parking and it's nicely landscaped.

If it weren't for the tiny little sign that's barely noticeable (I didn't even notice it until I specifically started looking for it) then you'd just think this area was River City Marketplace. Technically, it is. Jimmy John's is what stands out in this little plaza and is what gets the most business. The only other things you'll find here is a nail salon, an insurance place, a local jeweler, and a State Farm agency. There are probably a couple of other small businesses here, but I can't recall. The parking lot is nice and there are plenty of parking spaces. The grounds are well-manicured. It seems as though they are extending Shoppes at River City across the street where they are building the new Hobby Lobby (which should be opening pretty soon). I noticed a "Shoppes at River City" sign next to the Hobby Lobby "Coming Soon" sign. Kinda odd they would extend it across the street.... or maybe when all is said and done it will officially be called "Part II." Who knows....

Small shopping centre off New Berlin. Not very many stores here, but it is relatively new and very…read morenice. The parking lot is also nice with plenty of spaces and it's well manicured. The two main stores you'll find here which are on opposite ends are Sherwin Williams and Dollar General. Both are larger stores. The Dollar General is one of the nicer ones I've ever shopped in. You'll also find a small beauty shop here as well as Randstad. If you are in need of ice, there's one of the stand-alone ice machines at one of the parking lot entranced. You can get a 20 lb. bag of ice for $1.50. Next to the shopping center is Oak Plaza Carwash.

So many pockets, so comfy, stretchy, flattering and fun! Bras, underwear, pajamas- all fabulously fun prints and super comfy/cooling! I also LOVE the sweaters from the winter season- I bought a couple of them and I have several jackets. Quality products across the board. I will mention- they just redesigned the shorts overalls and the material is slightly different and they messed with the pockets- I hope they listen to their customer base and give back the original pockets and material, but they are still super cute! Overalls tend to run big, but the new design of short overalls are true to size.** Important info I went to a pottery convention earlier this year and Duluth Trading Co overalls were everywhere! I had forgotten about it until they popped up as an ad on my IG and I hadn't even thought about new overalls in months! But they had a great Mother's Day sale going and as a new customer- I got extra off. I ordered online and John mentioned he thought there was one up at River City Marketplace. Today (Mother's Day) we were headed to the National Cemetery to visit mom and stopped into the store and I snagged a couple pairs of overall shorts. I tried them on and found out that I am a smaller size than what I ordered online! Great problem to have- but when they come in the mail I can exchange them at the store. I got the same deal as online because I signed up for their text message program and got an additional 20% off on top of the sale prices- woohoo. And John and I both enjoyed the store as a whole. We were offered assistance numerous time by various staff and one associate made sure I knew about the text savings. Our location here in Jacksonville is the only location in Florida too! Based out of the midwest, they have a location map located at the back of the store. John even read a bit of their company history and compared it to the tv show Outdoor Man with Tim Allen. Good, solid, American company. I will be back and I will be shopping more ;) **2023 Update- I have shopped even more and even got John to buy a few things. I am absolutely in love with a skirt I bought here and floored that the size that fit was a 10! For those who know me, I'm down a few sizes- lol. Medium overalls already made me feel so good- which I wear often a LOVE!!! The staff is consistently wonderful too! Stop in and treat yourself.

San Mateo Village is at the entrance to the San Mateo neighborhood in Oceanway on the northside of…read moreJacksonville. It's a small shopping center with not very much to it any longer. Most of the stores have closed, but I do hope that new businesses will move in soon. Snookers is the main focus of San Mateo Village. It's a cool little pool hall where hubby and I have been going for over a decade now. You'll also find Price Rite Food Store which is a small convenience store that I frequent fairy often to get my cigs. There's also a nail place. Yep, that about sums up this little shopping center. River City Marketplace has caused a lot of the little businesses around here to close. I don't think Snookers has anything to worry about though; therefore, San Mateo Village will live on.

Today was a good day for me. I went to this Beall's Outlet and fell in love. The store is so…read moreorganized and clean. It spacious and easy to find things. I've been to other Beall's Outlets in Georgia, but this experience was great. It was easy to find items and not cluttered at all. I also used my royalty card and got a $5 coupon to use for a future purchases. It was a win for me. The location is also very convenient. It's in a plaza with a Publix and a new Gym. Three of my favorite things. Retail shopping, food, and working out. I'm pretty happy today.

We went in to find a competitive swim suit and were sorely disappointed. First you can't look…read morethrough them with out them all falling off the rack. Second they have zero organization. We grabbed on and headed to the register which lead to a mediocre at best interaction. I understand as a cashier it is not always the duty to handle the whole store but you are the last impression a customer has before they leave. The item we purchased not only rang up incorrectly than they price marked but when I let her know that the area was in disarray her response was...." I know I have seen it". She was pleasent but that doesn't fix my impression of a place I am spending my money at. This is a second attempt to purchase a suit here and we left the first time because it was a mess to dig through. If this was not the last resort we would have gone elsewhere.

Large strip shopping center located on Dunn Avenue. Unfortunately, a lot of the stores have moved…read moreout over the years because the area has gone down since they built the huge River City Marketplace. I just hope it doesn't go down anymore than it already has. But it continues to stay pretty busy and it has Publix as the large anchor store here. JSO (Jacksonville Sheriff's Office) has a large sub-station in this shopping center, so thanks to that, I always feel safe here. If it weren't for that fact, I honestly don't know that I'd continue to shop here. Parts of the parking lot have been repaved... others have not. So, depending on where you are in the parking lot, watch out for large potholes! In addition to Publix, DD's Discounts has just opened a new, large store here. You'll also find a Family Dollar, Sally Beauty Supply, Bealls Outlet, GameStop, and Bailey's Gym. There's also quite a few smaller stores here. If you're looking for something to eat, there's China Buffet, Cici's Pizza, and Firehouse Subs (to name a few). In the parking lot, you'll find Checker's and Starbucks in their own buildings. I remember when they built the SBUX here... I honestly didn't think it'd stand a chance, so I'm honestly surprised to see it still standing. You'll still see Dollar Tree and Radio Shack on the large sign for the shopping center; however, Radio Shack is about to go (they have their "going out of business" signs up) and Dollar Tree has moved down the street a few blocks into it's own building.
