We hired Powell to paint the exterior of our home and their carpentry services to replace several rotted window frames for a three story house. Andre stopped by to perform the initial exam and was very thorough and knowledgeable on the work that needed to be done. Unlike other painters I contacted, the Powell team was easy to contact and actually showed up on time for the scheduled time slot. Their quote for the project came in right around the same as other quotes we received, and it was well worth the cost. I can't praise the level of service you get with Powell. Stephanie, who handles scheduling and billing, was on top of communications so that I didn't have to worry about anything. Even the owner, Bryan, stopped by at the beginning to inspect a few leaks we had in our ceiling to help us determine whether there were other issues beyond repairing the rotted windows for us to consider. They will even bring out the drone for inspection if you have a tall home. As additional rotted windows were discovered during the power washing, work orders to add additional work was clear and simple. Once the work actually began, it went so smoothly. Andre stopped by every morning and afternoon to check in and update us. Our crew, Thiago and Breno, were incredibly hard workers. They were at our home by 7:30 am every morning despite the terrible traffic and often worked past 7 pm even during a heat wave. The guys were experts on the ladders despite having a few high, tricky spots to get to. The worksite was clean after each day which I was grateful for as we have a toddler running around. The entire project took 10 days. While it moved fast, it didn't feel rushed and no corners were cut to finish quickly. They even paused the project for 2 days because of rain so that we didn't run the risk of streaky paint. After the work was completed, they insisted on us contacting them if we weren't satisfied with any part of the project. Our home looks completely transformed and brand new. He communicated with us throughout the project of installing a new Timberteck deck. His crew worked straight on through from start to finish without empty lapses of time. The men are so highly skilled. We continue to be happy with our beautiful deck. Therefore, we asked Ruy to install a Timberteck stair rail at our front doors, which also has withstood the test of time. We'd been concerned that installments like this would compromise the brick, whereby requiring a total rebuild, but a rebuild wasn't necessary. He also advise us on an easy and effective fix to divert water from flowing from the gutter and freezing to ice on those brick steps in winter. Based on the outcome of these projects, and our experience in their progression, we highly recommend this company.

Brutal experience with them back in 2022-2024. Would take weeks and, more than once, even months…read moreto get them to come back and do any work (see screenshots of my text interactions with them -- note the dates). They were supposed to build a new rubber roof. It started leaking on 3 separate occasions (which btw was never fully fixed -- we moved on to different contractors who did address the issues). And like I said, it would take months for them to actually come back and attempt to fix anything. Often they'd come by, look at the damage, then I wouldn't hear from them for multiple weeks. Meanwhile, more damage continues to accrue to the walls and ceilings. The internal fixes they applied for the water damage were just patch jobs. They just plastered and painted over. Meanwhile, the insulation behind the wall was soaked and accrued black mold that we had to address later. Also worth pointing out a major blunder at the beginning of the project (see attached videos and pics). They opened up the roof, and left it open for multiple days without doing any work. Well of course a major rainstorm came by (which was on the weather forecast well in advance). Alll that water poured into the house in the middle of the night setting off fire alarms. It was a nightmare to deal with on my end.
