He would say that we were the next project in line and then would tell our designer that he had five projects ahead of us. He strung us along for months until we finally fired him. We had to go to court to secure some resemblance of our deposit back because he refused to give any of it back. There are so many other carpenters that do a far better job in half the time for half the price.

While this work did not involve a lot of carpentry, I'll share that Paul was: - Incredibly responsive. He answered my call asap and came the next day to help as planned. - Persistent. This thing was really stuck and Paul would not give up. He got it out after an incredible amount of work. - Courteous. Paul cleaned up everything after the job very thoroughly. - Went the extra mile. Paul noticed that we were missing a plug on our disposal so he drove to the hardware store, bought one, and came back to install it, saving me the trouble. My wife and I decided to have our house painted this summer. When we started, the old paint peeling…read moreand flaking off the old wooden shingle siding, and the trim paint was cracked and rough looking. We initially decided to go with another outfit (who will remain namless...) who ended up cancelling on us the day before they were scheduled to start the work. With the difficulty of finding contractors after the pandemic, we thought we were in real trouble. Then we found Mendez painters and we were saved! Within a day of calling, Florentino came out to inspect the site and emailed us a quote which was shockingly affordable and included all of the details we wanted to see. So, we put down a deposit and they fit us into their (very busy) summer schedule. Florentino and his crew did amazing work on what turned out to be a huge job. They scraped all of the old flaking paint off, getting down to bare wood in many parts. After power washing, they followed up by using a (very high quality) oil-based primer over the entire house which they then sanded smooth and filled in all of the holes/cracks in our siding. Due to the rain, it took a little longer than expected to get the work done, but they made up for lost time by bringing a HUGE, highly experienced crew. They used Sherwin Williams Duration paint on both the siding as well as the trim. Florentino and his crew really went the extra mile, even filling in some large holes in our siding and re-attaching some worn trim at no extra charge. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to repaint their home.

We were so impressed with their services that we asked to work with them for some additional work after the initial project was completed. The project involved redoing our kitchen and bathroom. We used a 3rd party to design and purchase the items through them and relied on Marcelino and his team to demo and install the new fixtures, cabinets and appliances! Although there were hiccups along the way (something to expect when it comes to any renovation work), Marcelino ensured that issues were had were addressed promptly. Marcelino was upfront during our initial walkthrough quote and gave an accurate timeframe when the project could be completed. The second phase involved the installation of some recessed lights which was completed within 1-2 weeks. Very happy with the results! There were some minor issues after the project's completion but after mentioning these concerns Marcelino had his team stop by our place with a very quick turnaround time to address our concerns. Overall Marcelino and his team were professional and respectful of our property (made sure to cover our exposed furniture during the painting/demolition phases).
