Have my kids come here to learn swimming. It's a great place to learn. Nice services here as well…read more Teachers here seem like they know what they are doings and teaching kids how to swim. Highly recommended. Very decent price as well. Whole different selection to choose from as far as learning how to swim. I would have my kids keep coming here to swim.

My kids have been swimming on & off at BSA on and for about 1.5 years. At first, no problem at all…read more The front desk could be a bit more friendly. Our issues didn't start until recently. My daughter moved into a higher level and was about to be in the same level as her older brother. She is small for her age, but really enjoyed swimming. Great, we were able to schedule them together. We had a coach that my kids had before, no problem. Then it switched to summer schedule, again didn't think it would be an issue. My daughter was struggling a bit, and I felt the coach was a bit less attentive to my daughter struggling. I thought it would be a lot for her and noticed she was struggling but didn't say much to prevent discouraging her from continuing. Then the next week came and my daughter didn't want to attend. I told her I would ask if she can go to the level before and she said she could do it. We brought our concerns to the front desk, she assured us the coach was a good coach and she would ask the coach to bring in a step to help my daughter not tire out. Well, the front desk talked to the coach and nothing changed. I didn't say anything because i thought I had already addressed the issue and they were going to accommodate my daughter. Well from then on, my daughter refused to go. My son, who was in the same class said he didn't like going anymore. So as a family, we decided to just cancel. When we talked to the front desk, again, no kind of apology or asking how to make it right. I'm so disappointed because my kids always looked forward to attending.

I highly recommend swim lessons through the City of Lancaster at this location - Webber Pool…read more My 7 year old had pretty strong water anxiety because when he took swim lessons in Santa Clarita, the swim instructor would promise he wouldn't push his head under water, and then as soon as he relaxed, he would do exactly that. Then of course my son would choke badly because he had no warning. I scolded the instructor and told him not to do that...and then he did it again. I complained to the manager in Santa Clarita, and he very kindly apologized, but the damage was done. My son went from loving the water to being petrified. I took him to my brother's pool to try to play with him and get him over it, and he clung to me like a barnacle. So this summer we gave the lessons at City of Lancaster a try. My poor son was so worried, that he was trembling the entire ride there. He was afraid the instructor would lie to him and scare him on purpose like the last one did. Do you know how long it took for his Webber Pool instructor, Garrett, to gain his trust, and get him over his fear? Exactly ONE lesson. By the end of that lesson, he had dipped his face in the water and jumped off the edge of the pool into his arms, shrieking with happiness. Garrett gained my son's trust, and he kept it. He was so encouraging and relaxed that my son gained confidence in himself immediately. He went from shivering with anxiety the entire ride there, to gleefully telling everyone he met at the grocer store that he just came from swim class and he loved swim class and he got to jump in the water and do you like swimming cuz I love swimming... I am so happy! This means so much to me that my boy regained his love of water. A manager in Lancaster told me the instructors all use the methods recommended by the Red Cross. When I look at the other classes going on, all of the kids look like they are having fun, and the instructors all seem kind and patient. The pool was very clean, and there was a lifeguard on duty. Excellent, confidence-inspiring instruction, clean pool, and lots of fun. Give it a try if you are looking for swim lessons for your little one.
