service requested…read more while i'd not gone on the day i did, the day after memorial day, to request information for a gravesite, i'd took note that the map that moms had to the family grave sites we were adorning, that she got previously from the cemetery office, was quite useful in locating the tombstone of great uncle patrick, that of great grandma, and also the above ground cube containing adjacent slots with the remains of grandpa ron and grandma sherrie. the latter gravesite is located near a main building of the cemetary, and the two former sites are near a relatively large tree by the same main building. quality while some of the grass growing over the tomb of great grandma is indicative of an occasional infrequency of maintenance at gravesites, the aforementioned graves and slotted cube container were each in good condition. the cube slots were also convenient for placing the decorative imitation flowers, with the flowers from the last visit of momma still intact. and while the imitation lemon tree branch i'd placed at the grave of great uncle patrick was more difficult to put at the site, requiring placement in the ground, the area around the gravesites do allow for more decor and rememberance gifts. and though i'd not put an imitation lemon branch at the site before, i'm drawn to the symbolism of that decor as it connects to bitterness in the circumstance of his death being a childhood shooting fatality due in part to improper gun storage. nevertheless, i'm of the belief that the color alone, and greater picture of growing life contrasts with the potential bitterness symbolized by the gift. value although much of the service offered by the cemetery is pricelessly valuable, i'm glad there is no additional fee for visiting the grave of a family member.

Chris, Carley, JJ, Shirley and the rest of the team have been absolutely incredible every step of the way. We interacted with Chris and JJ the most. Chris was the calm in the eye of a massive hurricane of difficult emotions. JJ was so earnest and clearly takes pride in his work. Here are the things that really stand out: 1.) My dad was cared for like he was a family member. From the moment my dad was moved from the hospital to the home, we felt like he was treated with the utmost care and respect. My dad was quite ill towards the end and we were hesitant about a viewing (for many reasons). Chris shared he had cared for my dad himself and that he looked very good. After much consideration we decided to view my dad. We were astounded by how much care was put into his appearance. He looked absolutely incredible and like we had time traveled back to the healthy, vibrant dad we knew. 2,) Our tired, grief stricken brains could barely make decisions and changed our minds frequently. Chris was so incredibly patient and accommodating. We never once felt like our decision changes were a burden. Chris gently guided our decision making process with helpful suggestions and the Bixby-South team happily accommodated when we changed our plans. Chris also made a suggestion for a burial location that perfectly fit my dad. 3.) We felt like Chris and team really "got" my dad. They asked great questions to understand who my dad was a person. We shared that my dad loved golf and didn't think too much of it. When we arrived at the visitation we were blown away by the level of care and attention to detail to create a themed room that truly captured everything my dad loved. It made our celebration of life so happy and upbeat despite the difficult circumstances. 4.) Communication was also very easy. We appreciated the kind, gentle follow-up decisions and details. There is so much to do in these circumstances in such a short window of time. We appreciated the team's communicativeness and follow-up. A few email threads were lost somehow on a few decision but the team called or sent a text to keep things moving. 5.) Our service was seamless with every detail perfectly orchestrated and coordinated between the Bixby-South team and church. Sending so much gratitude to Chris, Carley, JJ, and team. We can't thank you enough. Thank you for bringing so much peace and joy to this very difficult time.

Karie had a chance to reach out to rectify situation before complaint was filed with state.
