I've noticed that over the past 5 years their quality of care and compassion for family has deteriorated. Many mistakes on obituaries,(birthdate etc.)not telling family that they have an option to put a picture with obituary. Seems as though they're rushed to finish paperwork. I've overheard more then once the funeral director tell the deceased family member that their going overtime and it'll cost more. (wasn't discrete about it) I was rushed as I was walking into church and told I could sign book after service. No reason for that. I'm so disappointed that their quality of caring is gone. I do want to say that Pam Griffith has a heart and does care. The President does not. Sorry I'll take my business elsewhere.

My father passed away in December from Covid-19 and we selected the Griffith Funeral home to help…read moreus bring closure and peace of mind. What we have gone through since then and are still going through is a travesty. My first call to Tony the funeral director was abrupt to say the least. I wanted to know what the cost cremation was and what actions I need to take on behalf of my Mom. I informed him that I will pay for the cremation as soon as I receive the death certificate to file for a lump sum death benefit. That was meant with short snippy attitude that "I WILL BE PAYING, REGARDLESS". Ok, that BOILED MY BLOOD!!! I was in shock at that moment. NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I BEEN TREATED THIS WAY BY A BUSINESS. This was followed by what is now 3 months of waiting for an accurate death certificate for my Dad. The first botched attempt by Linda in the front office did not have all the information that was needed completely or accurately. My Dad's mother's maiden name was not included on the death certificate. She insisted on a call with me that my mother didn't know it. My mother absolutely knows father's mother's maiden name and I couldn't believe it. On this call I told her what it is and she replied that she would promptly make the amendment and send it to OKC for processing. A FULL month goes by, during that time, I took it upon myself to file request for the death certificate from the State of Oklahoma. In late February, after having paid $75 for 3 copies from Vitalchek. I called the funeral home to see why we hadn't received the death certificate and Tony, the Manager, told me that an amendment for my father's mother's maiden had been sent to Oklahoma City and they were just waiting to receive the corrected copy. Not 10 minutes later I get a call from the State of Oklahoma to tell me the copies I had ordered independently would not be sent because my dad's mother's maiden name had not been included by Linda. I told them that I had just talked to Tony and he had told me they sent the amendment in. THIS WAS NOT THE CASE!!!! Apparently, Linda had ignored a batch of amendments that needed to be made. With Tony on the phone and the State of Oklahoma on the phone suddenly these amendments would go out the next day. This is February 26th. My dad is dead for 2 months now, my mother is distraught because suddenly she is not getting social security payments, oddly enough. Since Linda decided suddenly it was pretty important to send those amendments off, it took Oklahoma City 3 weeks to process them. I demanded that a emailed copy be sent to me when the funeral home was in custody of the death certificate. On March 9th, I got the email graciously from them only to discover immediately that Linda had misspelled my mother's name twice both first name and last name in a separate boxes. On further inspection I saw that she had transposed my father's social security number. So now we have not only 1 amendment round we now have another round that has to be made. Separately my mom is still not receiving Social Security for 3 months now. This is because the SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS were incorrectly filled out. I couldn't file for any life insurance or lump sum death benefit without the death certificate. LINDAS mistake has caused my mother and I SIGNIFICANT PAIN FINANCIAL LOSS and STRESS far beyond imagination. We are going 4th month now in trying to settle my Dad's affairs and it will be at least another month before any of this can be possibly resolved. Having just spoken with Linda, she even attempted to drive a wedge between me and my mom stating that my Mom had attempted to "cut me out". THE GALL of this "death shop is staggering. I cannot believe or understand how these crooks are in business. We went with them, funny to say because my mother is related to Griffiths. We thought for sure they would take care of us. NOTHING CAN BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH!!!!!!!! THIS FUNERAL HOME IS A TRAVESTY AND CAUSES PAIN, INSULT AND SUFFERING BEYOND MEASURE!!!!!!!!! I CANNOT TELL YOU ENOUGH STAY AWAY FROM THEM AT ALL COSTS!!!! ALMOST 4 MONTHS and I STILL DO NOT HAVE MY FATHERS ASHES!!!! I CAN'T TELL YOU HOW SHOCKED I AM AT THIS EXPERIENCE! Never have I done business with a more rude or incompetent, callous organization. It is going to be AT THE VERY LEAST another month before we can settle my Dad's affairs and I SERIOUSLY DOUBT THIS SORRY EXCUSE for a company will ever bring closure to this. I can't say it enough. Having lost my sister and my Dad in 2020 is horrible, but then to face this ordeal CAUSED COMPLETELY BY THEM has brought frustration and anger in me beyond measure. It boils my blood that they can be so cruel and frankly incompetent and still be in business. I WILL CONTINUE TO DO EVERYTHING to see that they FULLY understand the nature of the injuries they have caused my mother and myself. ****** STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS AT ALL COSTS ********

service requested…read more while i'd not gone on the day i did, the day after memorial day, to request information for a gravesite, i'd took note that the map that moms had to the family grave sites we were adorning, that she got previously from the cemetery office, was quite useful in locating the tombstone of great uncle patrick, that of great grandma, and also the above ground cube containing adjacent slots with the remains of grandpa ron and grandma sherrie. the latter gravesite is located near a main building of the cemetary, and the two former sites are near a relatively large tree by the same main building. quality while some of the grass growing over the tomb of great grandma is indicative of an occasional infrequency of maintenance at gravesites, the aforementioned graves and slotted cube container were each in good condition. the cube slots were also convenient for placing the decorative imitation flowers, with the flowers from the last visit of momma still intact. and while the imitation lemon tree branch i'd placed at the grave of great uncle patrick was more difficult to put at the site, requiring placement in the ground, the area around the gravesites do allow for more decor and rememberance gifts. and though i'd not put an imitation lemon branch at the site before, i'm drawn to the symbolism of that decor as it connects to bitterness in the circumstance of his death being a childhood shooting fatality due in part to improper gun storage. nevertheless, i'm of the belief that the color alone, and greater picture of growing life contrasts with the potential bitterness symbolized by the gift. value although much of the service offered by the cemetery is pricelessly valuable, i'm glad there is no additional fee for visiting the grave of a family member.

This is a LONG review. Please READ IT and share with loved ones…read more I feel it's important, for the sake of other families who are grieving from the loss a loved one, to post this review. I don't want any family to go through, what our family went through, with this Crematorium. Do not use this funeral home or crematorium! "Cremations Society of Oklahoma", located on 9120 Toledo Street in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is absolutely horrible. Their mishandling of our loved one, and the services we paid for, was incompetent, insensitive, unprofessional, and inexcusable. I am convinced the reviews, stating 5-stars, are paid for. Gatlyn, Kristine, and their other female employee, should not be in this business. We were grieving the sudden loss of our loved one. This was a time when we needed the help, knowledge, guidance, caring, and competence of a crematorium. They were impersonal, did not take care of important details on their end, which resulted in four major errors, that significantly added to our distress. This company "lost" our paperwork. We took time and care to select a beautiful gold and silver Urn, inscribed with my brother's name, date of birth, and date of passing (3/28/23) on it. Our paperwork was completed, and the services and Urn paid for. 1. His ashes showed up at my house, in a plastic box, with a sticker on it. Kristine made excuses- saying they must have wanted to "rush his ashes" to my home. She then, after checking, said they had no record of my purchased Urn. In fact, they could not find the order details, or the $2200 that we paid for. I provided my copy and payment records. 2. After finally accepting responsibility, with no apology or "I'm so sorry for this error", the wrong Urn was sent out. They then re-ordered the correct one, and re-sent it. 3. To make matters worse- the "date of death" was incorrect. 4. I still have not received the death certificate - 6 weeks after cremation. There has been no apology, compassion, or even a phone call from Gatlyn, the owner, since all of this happened. In fact, the last two text messages we shared, he put on "read". He never responded, when I asked for an estimate of how much longer it would be to receive my brother's death certificate. I ended up calling the State of Oklahoma myself, paying an additional $40 to overnight a copy of my brother's death certificate. These people are incompetent and don't even understand or explain, the Oklahoma laws relating to death certificates. I am also reporting them to the Better Business Bureau
