Before Yelp was even a thing, I was introduced to Dynamic Office Solutions. I was 22 years old and was ready to grow up. I had taken classes at different community colleges from San Diego up to the Bay Area, and finally most of my friends were graduating college and I was nowhere close. It became apparent to me that college wasn't my path and it was time to buckle down and join the workforce. Somehow I made contact with Dynamic. It's been a long time, but I do vaguely recall the interview process and assessments, which didn't send me running and I remember a pretty simple process. I do recall that within no time, temporary positions were offered to me. Dynamic found a steady stream of temporary positions for me for several months. My goal was to find permanent employment, and Dynamic worked diligently to find me that permanent position. Within just a few short months the position was presented to me through Dynamic. There was a software company in San Ramon looking for a full time receptionist. It was a salary position with benefits, retirement and everything I was looking for. To top that, the salary was higher than most of my freshly graduated friends were making in their entry level careers. I was thrilled! I interviewed and got the job. This position offered me travel opportunities, experience and room for advancement. In two and a half years I worked my way from Receptionist to Administrative Assistant to Executive Assistant, and finally the Office Manager. My career path began with Dynamic and I will forever feel grateful for the opportunity they provided for me. As I recall, my placement agent's name was Christina. I am unsure if she is still with the company, but I can say she was a hideous agent! Incredibly unprofessional! I recall I was nearing the end of my assignment (I believe I had two days left) and I had found a permanent position. I called to tell her I would need to end the assignment early as my new position asked that I start right away. She called me at the office where she placed me and began to berate me on the phone, literally yelling at me, so loud I'm sure those around me heard her. I had never been witness to such vulgar behavior, I was only in my early 20s at the time. We as temporary workers know the client (and placement agency) can get rid of you at the drop of a dime, but should you find a better opportunity and decide to leave them, that is another story entirely! Terrible, terrible, TERRIBLE talent services from this company. If Christina is still an employee I would caution everyone not to choose Dynamic as their agency. Looking for a good employment agency, well this isn't it. I went in and signed up, took the tests and never heard from them again.

A recruiter contacted me, obviously getting my info at one of the online job portals. Starts off looking for a position, doesn't tell me what industry and no job description. I asked what the range of pay was and job description. She gives me the job description and tells me the pay is DOE and always negotiable. I have learned that this is common with these inept recruiters looking to pad their arsenal of candidates. I tell her that if she can't tell me the range then I'll have to pass. She responds with the amount which is what a first/second year person out of college would get. I ask if she's looked at my resume and then ask if she thinks that rate is the going rate for someone with my qualifications and experience. I have over 15 years experience in a management capacity, several degrees and a professional certification. Clearly this is yet another firm that does not know what they're doing. They are not in it to help the candidate, nor do they understand the market or are trying to maintain long-term relationships with candidates. This recruiter clearly has no idea what someone with my experience should be making. It's almost like Nigerian scams. read more

I spoke with several people there, but worked primarily with Brett. He's extremely quick to respond, and does exactly what he says he'll do.
