I had a great experience with The Plus Group based in San Ramon (probably more of a 4.5 experience but I always like to round up). They ask you to come in to meet the group prior to matching you with potential companies. I came in and met with Patrick. We spoke for about two hours and had a really great conversation that focused on what I wanted out of my career, my priorities in considering a career, and my strengths. I felt like Patrick really listened to what I wanted while taking into consideration my strengths so that he could match me to a career that really fit the bill. While talking to him I really felt that he had my best interests in mind and that I wasn't just some candidate to shove into a temp position for profit. I have worked with a couple of other recruiting agencies and have not gotten the same "best interest" impression from all of them. Within a week of meeting with the team, they already secured an interview for me. The turnaround was pretty amazing. Additionally, they constantly follow up with you so you're aware of whats happening in the process. The reason I would dock the half star is because I feel that The Plus Group has yet to find the type of roles that I would love. Nonetheless, the people are great! read more

My first experience wasn't as expected although I was referred to Ms. Leann at the agency but was assigned to Patrick whom wasn't very inviting/friendly from our first engagement over the phone. He asked what my last name was and how to pronounce it, as if "Hill" isn't a common and easy name to remember. Ms. Kelly insisted on referring me to the lowest paying jobs not to mention she claimed she was unable to tell me the pay rate of jobs and tried to send me to the furthest commuted positions, when in turn Patrick openly shared the pay rates of such jobs. SMH (alot of confusion). Patrick wanted to know why my email name didn't match my real name, like who signs up with real names on email now and days especially if your name is common which might be taken already SMH. This experience was such a waste of my time and very discouraging to deal with temp agencies ever. I felt discriminated against. I openly expressed how I had an interview with another firm and was not given an option to interview at a later date or time other than the time I already had with another agency. SMH read more

I would just like to start off by saying Kelly and Patrick are the most amazing people to work with. I got placed into a position and I would say 2 and a half weeks in..I got into a major car accident had to go to the ER and they worked with me and talked to the company I worked for and of course providing documentation of what happened and injury's but, I also stated to them that I wasn't sure if I should mention how I was feeling about the trainers at my placement job was really making me uncomfortable and made me feel like they weren't helping me at all to learn and the feeling I had going to work everyday was a feeling no one should have to feel especially when your just starting. Long story short, they went back and forth with the company I was working for to try and get a resolution for me and they ended up having me start the next orientation with different trainers so that I can actually feel like I would be able to learn and not feel like I was set up for failure this time around!!! Which of course is what I wanted for my outcome to start over new and actually feel like I have a chance to learn and not feel so degraded this time around. Point is...they will fight for you and they truly value you as there employee and I can't even mention into words that not that many people in companies value u and hear u out the way they did with me. I signed up with The Plus Group in December of 2015 and by January 5th of 2016 they placed me with a great company and even negotiated a pay rate that was better than I expected to receive. The staff are all warm, friendly and always extremely professional. Unlike a few other agencies I've worked with I felt the staff there really had my best interest at heart and whenever I had any issues during my assignment they were always so attentive and willing to contact the employer to deal with any situation. I've worked with Plus Group for almost 5 months, and indeed, it was a great experience to become one of their recruits. Most of their staff, like Patrick and Kelly were very supportive, thoughtful, and caring of their employees. Unlike other job agencies out there who will rip you off by deducting more from your salary, Plus Group has always been fair and considerate of their employees hard earned money. They're also very generous, and will sometimes send their trusted and loyal recruits gift card or other stuff that shows how much they appreciate you doing business with them. Something that NOT all agencies would do. Furthermore, I liked the fact that they're checking on the well-being of their recruits, and whenever you have any sort of job issues, they were there to help you out with your needs.
