1 star cause it made me…read more Don't do it. Went for new door speakers and subwoofer install. (Initially just a sub install) Less than professional install. Everything is wired correctly but the Box doesn't fit in like it's supposed to. Down facing speakers and the speakers sit on the floorboard so the sub is muffled. And that's just the half; they stole over 1k in cash out my truck and still haven't mentioned a word of it going on 4 days since I picked up the truck. I mean silly me for leaving money in MY truck; but guess they needed it more than I did. Did not have a positive experience at all and end up incurring additional cost to repair damage…read morecaused by this individual. It became clear that he was inexperienced installation and careless in his service. Also showed no remorse and failed to assume responsibility for any of his actions. Specifically: 1) He was over 30 minutes late and didn't bother to notify me that he would be late for the appointment. When I reached out to himX that's when I learned that he'd be late. Did t even bother to apologize for lack of consideration of my time. 2) He initially installed the back up camera upside down and tried to first tell me that is the way the camera should be until I insisted something was wrong. He then realized the camera was installed incorrectly AFTER he had already drilled holes into the frame to mount the camera. He then had to change the location with new drilled holes. 3) when installed the radio, he didn't flush the radio and again tried to explain that it was installed correctly, only to have to redo the setting of the radio correctly. 4) Failed to reconnect the radio antenna causing him to come back and connect the antenna. 5) Literally broke the dash console when prying it up to reconnect the wires to the radio. As I am sitting right there, I witness him break the console but he denied doing so and said it was like that prior to him working on the job. This was clearly dishonest and I know my truck and knew it had not been broken and that I had witnessed first hand him breaking the console. I had to purchase a whole new console which cost me money. 6) failed to reset airbag light after he removed the console and claimed that the airbag light was on before he started working on the vehicle. Again, this was NOT true. Because of the above and lack of ANY responsibility for anything, I wouldn't recommend him for anything.

I had a double-din installed by a family member last year and months after I began to hear an intermittent high pitched sound from my speakers. Unfortunately, just like going to a doctor for something that pains you, the sound was no where to be found once I needed a diagnosis. The high pitched sound never came on while I was at the shop. Luckily, I had recorded it on several occasions, so I was able to provide those clips to Claude. Long story less long, he was able to fix the problem by process of elimination, and it did not cost the arm and leg that I assumed it might. So happy with the end result! Thank you, Claude. SHAM JOB, SHODDY WORK. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. Chip did one of the worst, most unprofessional…read moreinstall jobs I have ever seen done on a car. I don't have the time or room on a review to describe all the problems he caused a on simple head unit and backup camera install job, but I will try. 1) He did not wire the backup camera to the head unit properly, after pushing the camera button on my head unit I only got a blue screen, and he tried to tell me at first that was because it was for a front camera I didn't have (who has front cameras anyway?). I pointed out it says "R. CAMERA" on the screen. After calling Crutchfield and they explained to him the proper way to wire it, he fixed that issue (after having to bring my car back in). 2) After driving for a few days, we noticed wires with black tape hanging down below the bumper plain as day and was very alarmed. When I called him to tell him about it, he gave me a lecture on the type of tape it was because I called it duct tape at first. He said it was dyno soundproofing tape although why you would use soundproofing tape to try to secure excess wire to the bottom of my undercarriage (did not even bother to tuck it inside the bumper) I have no idea. Neither does Crutchfield support. Furthermore when I examined the wire from the head unit to camera, he used blue painters' tape to join two wires instead of properly crimping the connection like a professional would do or in the very least using electrical tape. 3) My SiriusXM intermittently cuts in and out, very frustrating and makes it unusable. This is definitely because he buried the antenna for the SiruisXM tuner inside the dash, which you are not suppose to do which I also confirmed with Crutchfield support (they were in disbelief). When I expressed concern at the 1st pickup that I had never seen an antenna buried like that, he dismissively told me it was fine. I relented at first because I thought he was a professional 4) He broke the wrong tabs off the trim plate around the head unit so it didn't fit properly and then when I raised that issue he used another trim plate he had laying around that does not fit and comes loose constantly. Chip likes to talk over his customers when they raise concerns about problems and dismiss them. If you persist he will tell you to "bring it back in" even though you both disagree about how it should be fixed or installed in the first place. I will not bring my car to him 3, 4, or 5 times for what should of been a simple install job when it's clear he does extremely shoddy work and then denies any of it was his fault. He comes off nice at first but just wait until the problems come. I have never written a negative yelp review, this is my first - that should tell you something. I came to him because of his positive reviews on yelp, which only go back 6 months making it look like a new business. It is not, he says he's been there 11 years. I asked him why his yelp page was new, he mentioned something about an old worker trying to steal his business so he had to start it over. That doesn't make much sense either, more likely is that he wanted to get rid of old bad reviews. My frustration level is off charts and now I have to spend more money and time to bring it to someone who can actually fix all the problems Chip caused. Use him at your own peril.
