Which I'm sure is close to the price of a new one. Seems they fancy themselves more of an antique dealership than the crazy flea market they are.

I often have to chase down a staff member to ask where something is located. What's strange is that the Hamilton Lowes is the complete opposite. There, it's *easy* to find what I'm looking for, and the staff there is SO helpful -- it's a pleasure to spend money at the Hamilton Lowe's. That difference tells me that it's not Lowe's but the local management. I have been doing a lot of home renovations and, though the Burlington Lowe's is not far from my house, I try to hold off on my purchases and go to the Hamilton Lowes whenever I get a chance.

This kindly gentleman is genuinely interested in providing the kind customer service that make these small outlets a treasured and valued part of our local community. The issues lies with some his staff and how his business is run. Who runs who!? I never know what kind of (surly & entitled etc.,) attitude I'm going get when I walk through the doors. The store never seems to be properly stocked for what I'm looking for most often than not. I usually, time permitting drive to New Street to save myself the trouble. In my experience they behave like they own the place and it's a privilege to be served by them!!! Words of advice. Don't ask too many questions, you don't wanted to feel like your being scolded. Call first, to see whatever your looking for is actually in stock. Having said, there are some very nice (younger) staff who are genuinely interested in providing good customer service! Ps. This year, my wife wanted to get some new plants but most of the nurseries and stores near our place were either sold out of the ones she wanted or simply too expensive for what you get. After some research, we found that Harpers had the plants for a great price and it was a quick short drive away - perfect excuse for a road trip to Hamilton. We pre-ordered everything online ahead of time. They were doing front-door pick up so it was really convenient. I'm happy to see that the staff were practicing social distancing and took the necessary measures for everyone's safety. We took a quick walk through the nursery just to see what other selections they had and I have to say, that this is a great one stop shop for any gardening needs. Soil, tools, plant food, pots... anything you can think of they have it. The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. It felt nice to be in a community space and not a big superstore like Lowes or Home Depot where you have to go chase down someone to get help. These are the kinds of businesses we should be supporting always, not just through a pandemic. I can't wait to order some more greens from Harpers. I always enjoy a good road trip!

We did notice sale tags on some of the trees and bushes. Staff is relatively friendly with some of them providing more info than others. Lots of parking, and they were open till 7:00pm on the Saturday when we popped in (late April).
