His prices were also better than the other plumbers who responded to my quote request. It turned out that the kitchen tap I purchased would not fit (I had a feeling it was not going to work). He removed the old kitchen tap, which was what I was having trouble with, and gave me some tips on how to install the new tap once I found one that fit. He then installed the bathroom tap and provided some other advice relating to the bathroom sink. He did not charge me for the kitchen tap installation. I found a kitchen tap that fit, and it is now installed and working great thanks to John. I will call him if I need any plumbing in the future. They informed me that we would require a new cartridge and the fee for this is 734.50, we felt this was kind of high but we agreed to and paid a deposit for the work to be done. It was a friday and they said they would try to get the part and have it installed for Sat. After they left they called and said that the another part was broken and that would cost another 1200 or so dollars. So I said lets wait on that and I'll get back to you. We went to Rona that night and the gentlemen said that we were basically getting ripped off! I called Delta and asked for a manager. I was told by their rude receptionist that they were not available and they would call me back. We then contact the manufacturer of the fixture on Monday. I ordered the part from them that we needed, and it WASN'T what they charged us for! I then went to the address of the office of Delta in my town, and low and behold THEY DO NOT HAVE AN OFFICE THERE! When I googled them they have various other locations across Toronto with diff phone numbers and so I called them and guess what THEY ALL WERE ANSWERED BY THE SAME RUDE RECEPTIONIST!!!!! My husband attended the address that was on the invoice and demanded our money back from the "manager" that this woman said would call me back and he told my husband he knew nothing of needing to contact me. I have phoned twice in the past few weeks and no one ever has returned the call. I guess they are busy, which is good for them. If you are in a hurry, or think that you shouldn't have to call three times before they return your call.. then i would call someone else.

Not Accredited by the Better Business Bureau for a Reason! I…read morerecently contacted Superior Plumbing with a request to find and repair a plumbing leak in my bathroom. Following investigation of the source of the leak by their employee Andrew, I was informed by him that the source of the leak was the wax seal under the toilet. He also identified that the toilet was aged and not in good repair and he suggested replacement. He provided a quote of $1,200 + tax for the work necessary to repair a water leak in my bathroom and replace the toilet. This work was done two days later by two installers. The work took approximately 45 minutes. After the work was completed, the installers advised me the toilet flange was also broken and provided me with an estimate of $800 to replace the flange. I did not accept this estimate as I was suspicious of the amount I was a being quoted for this repair. The work that was done that day did not stop the leak. When I contacted Superior Plumbing the next day to advise that the leak had not been fixed, I was told that the plumbers who installed the toilet were not aware that a new wax seal was to be installed and that they would return to install a new wax seal. I was also advised that a new toilet flange would be installed at no cost as a "courtesy" because of the installers error. I fail to see how this is a courtesy when, as I have learned, it is standard in the industry to change the wax ring and replace the flange on the toilet anytime a toilet is removed or replaced. The installers returned two days later and installed a new wax ring and toilet flange. Upon completion of this work the leak was still present. Another investigation by the installers that day found that the leak was coming from a pipe below the toilet, not the toilet itself. He seemed surprised that Andrew had identified the source of the leak as the toilet in the first place. I was then provided with a quote of an additional $650.00 to have the leaking pipe fixed. Given the inaccurate diagnosis, failed repairs and escalating costs I declined the estimate. When the installers left that day they dumped the bucket of drywall they had removed from my ceiling (to find the leaking pipe) onto my front lawn. I had paid $1356.00 to that point and the leak was not fixed. I paid $1356.00 to have a $350.00 toilet installed. Realizing that I had been grossly overcharged I requested a proper invoice including a detailed breakdown of both the parts and associated labour costs for the work done. When this was not forthcoming I contacted the number for the head office and was advised that "Superior Plumbing does not issue that kind of receipt" and that I would not be receiving any further documentation. I went to speak with someone in person at the local office only to find that the address provided on the company website is actually the address of another local business. Superior Plumbing is not located at the address advertised on their website. I looked up Superior Plumbing on the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and it turns out they are not accredited with the BBB. They have a rating of F. The lowest possible rating. I wish I had looked the company up before I hired them to fix my leak. They took advantage of my lack of knowledge about plumbing and my feeling of urgency to get the leak fixed. I would not hire this company ever again and I would actively encourage others to avoid them at all costs.

We are first time homebuyers and our toilet broke shortly after moving in. We only have 1 bathroom in the house so we needed someone to come immediately. Superior plumbing sent a plumber who looked at the toilet and said he wouldn't be able to replace it on site because there was a small crack in the hole (not sure what it's called). He left and they sent out a new person a few hours later. The new person noticed an (old) watermark on the ceiling in our dining room and said they would need to rip out the walls and ceiling and replace all of the pipes. They quoted us $4,500 for all that work. We were terrified but tried to get our finances together, all the while having to drive to a tim hortons each time we had to go to the bathroom. The next day, they sent a third plumber, who WAS NOT WEARING A SUPERIOR PLUMBING UNIFORM and said he is not associated with them but was simply contracted out (he had an apprentice with him as well). He replaced the toilet and fixed the small crack with a repair kit in 15 mins. He said he had no idea what they were talking about in needing to replace all the pipes but that was not needed. We were so relieved until Superior sent us a bill for the full quoted $4,500. I called them to say we didn't need to do all that work so that needed to be taken off the invoice. They only knocked off $1000...sent back another made up invoice claiming that the repair kit (which took 15 mins) and toilet replacement (typically $150-400) cost $3,500. I don't think the first 2 people they sent were even plumbers-- just people to generate fear and build up a big bill before sending in an actual plumber who they probably paid $2-400 for the job. Unbelievable. IT IS WORTH THE WAIT TO FIND A RELIABLE PLUMBER-- I'd recommend Cornerstone in Guelph. They are honest and reliable.

Cole was unable to keep two scheduled appointments for an estimate on replacing two kitchen sinks…read morein our home. We were understanding after the first missed appointment, receiving a call from Cole two hours after the appointment time when he explained that he had no cell service. After the second missed appointment which we had to contact him, his response was the same, no cell service. We decided not to be disappointed s third time. When we sent text stating our time is as valuable as his, he became defensive and rude. We requested he stop sending text messages which he refused to honor. The take away is if Cole has an opportunity to go out on paying job, he will blow off any scheduled estimates without the decency of notifying you. Cole sent us the following text, " Ok it's an estimate. this was an emergency appointment I left my house 5am this morning for. Did not think I would be here all day. If you called me for an emergency at 2am, I would be there. If you don't know an estimate compared to actual repairs I'm sorry I can't help you."

Daniel's brother helped service a slow draining kitchen sink issue. Previously we tried a bunch of…read moredraino and hot water but still had an issue later on. So we called a professional. Given his stellar 5-star reviews we felt comfortable hiring F1. His quote was reasonable and though he wasn't available to come immediately, only a few days later. We originally agreed for him to visit on Friday but somehow he or his bro made a mistake and visited on Thursday, when no one was home at that time he came. He did come back on Friday at our scheduled time and fix the issue with the electric power snake. I wasn't present when he did it but someone else was in my place. He also didn't send a follow up text to tell me it's fixed, diagnoses, photos or how to prevent it. But at the same time, he's also patient and didn't ask me to pay until I prompted him several hours later asking about the status of the job. I suppose he's a busy man! Communication could be better, just keep in mind you may have to prompt him again to get your receipt later. What's important is that it's fixed and working properly.

He offered fast, friendly, and affordable service! Some things I learned: I noticed he didn't caulk the new toilet and after asking, he advised that high rise don't allow that in the gta. He also advised that the kitchen sink was incorrectly installed by the former condo owner. He did a great job replacing it and removing as much of the incorrect caulk/glue as he could. We had to get rid of the old toilet ourselves but I think that's built into the cost since I was quoted at least $40 more by other plumbers who offered that service. Overall, I recommend Daniel's plumbing services. The sink and toilet are still working great.
