On my semester abroad in Lyon, I discovered Ayers Rock quickly and absolutely loved it. Okay, sometimes it's crowded. What bar isn't? That's right, the shitty ones. So yeah, just get over it. Ayers Rock offers almost 20 (I think?) sorts of shooters, and I tasted them all and they're good. The bartenders are hot, I even had a crush for a night or two. I think I loved it so much because where I live, there isn't anything you can compare to Ayers Rock. Also the music is good, a mix of pop, rock and sometimes you can even hear a lonely metal song. But most of all: the atmosphere is very nice. People are happy, flirty and drunk. What do you need more?

Who's that dancing on the table?…read more Oh right, it's me. That's what it feels like when I look through old photographs of my semester abroad in Lyon. Ayers Rock was always full (too full) of international students, lots of beer and liquor, lots of dancing, lots of spilling, and lots of silly photographs. It was fun from time to time, but I'd think of it as a fourth destination of the evening, almost a last resort. I don't miss this place, but I definitely have some great memories from there.
