The offices are relatively new, clean, and attractively furnished. The hallways have old pictures of the Quarry back before it was a shopping mall. The docs I've met here have all been proficient and professional. Parking is easy, and there's even a strategically placed Salata right next door so you can go eat healthy after your checkup. Some of the offices overlook the Quarry golf course, which is scenic. There's also an emergency room right next door if things go south in a hurry at your medical exam. I just wish they'd get some magazines for the waiting room. What kind of doctor's office doesn't have anything to read in the waiting rooms? Bring your own if you want something to read.

I chose the practice because of its strong reviews, and my first visit gave me high hopes. The…read moreoffice was clean, I was seen on time, and the physician in training who saw me before Dr. G was outstanding: thorough, thoughtful, and attentive. That first visit was so positive that I even recommended the practice to my mom, aunt, and sister. Everything after that was the opposite. It took multiple calls to get my prescriptions sent correctly after they were sent to the wrong pharmacy and most weren't sent at all, and we'll call you back took days. Then, When my lab results were ready, I called and was told they could simply be emailed to me, and they were. A few hours later, I received a notice that I had missed an appointment and was being charged a $35 no-show fee. I called the next morning, explained the misunderstanding, and was told to come in Friday to review my labs. On Friday, the receptionist handed me paperwork for an annual wellness visit I never requested and had recently completed. When I tried to explain I was there only for a lab review, she repeatedly interrupted, waved me back toward the waiting area and simply repeated multiple times that was what I was scheduled for. I said I did not request a wellness visit. I was told I would be charged another no-show fee despite being there in front of her if I didn't have this procedure done (despite having had it done recently). When I asked about the attitude, she laughed and said "I'll go get my lead", I never asked for a supervisor. The receptionist left and returned with the office lead, whose first words to me were, "What do you need?" She did not ask what happened, only repeated the policy and said I would be charged. I asked if I could briefly speak with Dr. G about the scheduling error. I was told no. I asked to simply leave my phone number so Dr. G could call me later so I could share my feedback, and while I was finishing writing it, the office lead demanded I go sit down to finish it or threatened to call the police. THREATENED TO CALL TGE POLICE, when there is nobody behind me, when I didn't raise my voice or curse, I wasn't asked to leave, simply because I was unhappy paying a no show fee for showing up to a type of appointment I didn't request. There were no patients waiting behind me, and I said repeatedly that I was happy to leave if that was what they wanted. While she had the police dialed she went back and Dr. G eventually came to the front. I appreciated that, but before I could explain, I was told I couldn't disruptive as she was arriving (I wasn't even speaking to her yet) and she referred any feedback back to the office lead. After seeing the same behavior from the doctors as the tone deaf staff, I left because it was clear my concerns were not going to be heard and the staff is one that escalates simple matters. This was a scheduling misunderstanding, not a safety issue. A receptionist or office lead should listen, clarify, and de-escalate, not jump straight to threatening to call the police. Because of how this was handled, I called my family and told them not to become patients. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this office to others or trust it with my family's care.

This supposed "Medical office" in La Vernina, TX is only out for the money.. they have a policy…read morethat if you owe money and can't pay it (or at least pay it immediately) they will refuse care, refuse to approve refills of prescriptions, and refuse to send a referral to another doctor for needed medical treatment all because of a small unpaid balance due from a minor procedure that my insurance didn't pay a portion of. How can this be allowed? How is this medically ethical. Taken an oath my ass.. I'll be moving on, so go ahead and write off the balance due, cause you aren't getting my money now..

I was given an appointment. On the Monday before my appointment, I received a phone call verifying my visit for that week. When I arrived at the office, I was told that they stopped taking my insurance in June (this is November...I made my appointment last month) and that I did not fill out the proper forms...I had found these on their website...I was told that the site was not updated and that the forms were no longer valid. Very inept office staff. I STRONGLY recommend against using this office site.

I saw her a day or two ago and explained to her that I'm losing my health insurance for 60-90 days because I'm changing jobs. She kept wanting to refer me for physical therapy & a clinic...WHAT INSURANCE AM I GOING TO USE?!?!! I repeatedly told her I wasn't going to have insurance & she continued to insist on treatment rather than medication & I get it that's probably better for me but I'm not going to have coverage to maintain it.
