But my choices are limited due the fact I am in a wheelchair. I is extremely hard to find a B&B or cottages that are wheelchair accessible, almost never. But Government Street Cottages has a REAL WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE ROOM!!!!. It is wonderfully decorated as well. Parking is great. Large bathroom, plenty of room to maneuver. Roll-In Shower. We can't wait to go back for a few days to just get away again. And the location is just down the street from great shopping, dinning and entertainment. I would recommend to bring a cooler if you plan a long visit. It has a microwave and a small fridge as you would find in most hotels (only so much room). This would give you the option of storing more food related items and drinks, especially if you bring the kiddos. Cant wait to return. Don went above and beyond to provide the most enjoyable and comfortable experience, and his attention to detail was impeccable. In addition to his prompt responses to any queries I had, tours of his beautiful property (including an outdoor shower surrounded by banana trees!) and the bountiful harvest it produces, and providing me with any extra amenities I was looking for, he has a wealth of knowledge about the area and it was a pleasure meeting him. Finally one morning I woke up and there was an adult bed bug!! I freaked out and looked under the mattress on the bed skirt and saw 3 more and decided it was time to call management. I called and 3 people came to inspect and the whole time the lady kept saying it wasn't bed bugs that she didn't see anything while shaking out all sheets and pillows! I told her I had videos of the bugs and pictures and she STILL claimed they were not bed bugs! She even went as far as checking our heads for lice and found NOTHING! This is beyond ridiculous to me!! Her resolution to this situation was to give me new sheets and call it a day, even though I just told her I had washed the sheets the day before. In a condo with many people coming in and out I understand bed bugs are a possibility. I was not upset at the situation, but how it was handled! I definitely would not recommend staying here.

Try to avoid the cleaning fee - it is kind of bogus (you certainly do not enter a place as clean as what you will end up having to pay).
