I accompanied my husband for a 6 week training at Keesler Airforce Base with our 3.5 year old…read moredaughter. Our 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo was beautiful and modern. The rate was also very reasonable for the value. The configuration was perfect for having extended family visit with one side having a bed and bath separated by the living room and spacious kitchen, and a fold-out couch bed. The living space and master had sliding door view of the Mississippi Sound. Our visit duration was 6 weeks and we were impressed by the qualify of staff, ease of parking, George the owner is often on location and is helpful and engaging, and the gym/exercise room is well air-conditioned in the Spring/Summer (so appreciated, great equipment too). The location is ideal to the beach and nearby Gulfport, Biloxi, and only 15 min from Keesler Air Force Base. The condo has a washer and dryer. The kitchen has modern appliances and granite counter tops. The outdoor balcony is private yet spacious. Upon arrival my husband noticed the carpets needed professional cleaning and his request was completed right away. Staff was accessible to help with a request. We were on the 5th floor and the elevators are quick. The condo grounds and parking are monitored by security which requires a parking pass and electronic keys. If you forget your key, security staff will help identify you (Brad was awesome). Parking is easy, right beside the condo enclosed within the secure grounds. Legacy also offers an entertainment space, library, indoor pool, outdoor pool, sauna, & pool showers. My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Legacy Towers and highly recommend it.

For those that don't know a TDY is temporary duty for government service. We were in town for training. You get an allowance for lodging at a government rate and we were able to work with the owners to accommodate that. The community is gated and super safe. Everyone was extremely friendly. The security guard and all of the other people that work there were courteous and made us feel welcome. The gym was amazing and the pool and hot tub were perfect! I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend anyone as an alternative to other DTS choices.

I am reluctant to write this review for a couple of reasons. The first is because I don't want to…read moregive away the best kept secret in vacation rentals. The second I will keep to myself. I love the Mississippi Gulf Coast. I always have. People can complain about the beaches and the water, but they're missing several key things. First of all, this is one of the closest real beaches to New Orleans. Second, I spent a large portion of my youth out here with my family and for that reason alone, it will always be special to me. Those memories are what drives me to this beach several times during the summer. You see, those memories are so incredible for me that I want my own children to have similar experiences. So now that the sentimental stuff is out of the way, I'll explain more about the rental. I found these rentals while searching vrbo.com. I had stayed in a beachfront hotel a few weeks before and was massively disappointed. These rentals looked great and were half of what the hotel cost. Booking was incredibly easy, and the owner was very friendly. What is billed as a cabin is actually a trailer. They have been fancied up a hit, but they are still a trailer. Ours had a single bedroom, bathroom, kitchen/dining area and a living area with sleeper sofa. The bedroom was small, but manageable. The bed was a full so my legs hung far off of the end. If you're tall, that's something to consider. Having a full kitchen was a nice addition and saved on food cost since we were able to cook a few meals instead of dining out. The kids loved the sleeper sofa especially since they could watch the tv while lounging in their bed. There wasn't much of a view from the cabin I rented, but it was only one block from the beach. For the price, you really can't get a better place.

DO NOT STAY HERE! I'm only giving one star because I have to!…read moreWe stayed at this hotel for about a week, and every time we slept I felt itchy! Finally one morning I woke up and there was an adult bed bug!! I freaked out and looked under the mattress on the bed skirt and saw 3 more and decided it was time to call management. I called and 3 people came to inspect and the whole time the lady kept saying it wasn't bed bugs that she didn't see anything while shaking out all sheets and pillows! I told her I had videos of the bugs and pictures and she STILL claimed they were not bed bugs! She even went as far as checking our heads for lice and found NOTHING! This is beyond ridiculous to me!! Her resolution to this situation was to give me new sheets and call it a day, even though I just told her I had washed the sheets the day before. In a condo with many people coming in and out I understand bed bugs are a possibility. I was not upset at the situation, but how it was handled! I definitely would not recommend staying here.

Great views too. One dedicated parking spot in garage per condo. Isn't the ideal vacation spot. Glass and trash on beach. Will work with military. Try to avoid the cleaning fee - it is kind of bogus (you certainly do not enter a place as clean as what you will end up having to pay).

I have stayed at South Beach Resort many times over the years, so it is disappointing to say that…read morethis will likely be my last visit. This morning, I went downstairs early for breakfast so my wife could sleep in. I arrived about 10 minutes before breakfast opened, so I took a walk along the boardwalk while waiting. Breakfast is only served from 7:00-9:00 a.m., which seems unusually limited for an area known for charter fishing, where many guests are up and on the water early. When breakfast opened at 7:00, I entered the dining area and began preparing my breakfast. An employee then took the food out of my hand because I was not wearing my bracelet. I understand having rules and requiring bracelets, and I have no problem following them. However, the way the situation was handled was unnecessary and embarrassing. As I was returning to my room, the lobby attendant then accused me of taking a red Gatorade. It was actually a Coke that I had brought down from my room. I told the employee that there are cameras throughout the lobby and suggested they review the footage before accusing a guest of stealing. Later, I returned to breakfast with my children, making sure that all of us had our bracelets on. I then noticed approximately 10-12 other guests eating breakfast without bracelets. This was extremely frustrating after the way I had just been treated. My issue is not with enforcing resort policies. My issue is the inconsistent enforcement and the way guests are treated. I have been a loyal guest at South Beach Resort for years, and I have never experienced anything like this. Being treated as though I was attempting to steal food and then being accused of taking a drink that I had brought from my own room was extremely disappointing. Unfortunately, this experience has changed my opinion of the resort. I hope management reviews what happened and addresses the way these situations are handled so other guests do not have a similar experience.
