It was time for some new soles for a repair, so I came here. Immediately on entering the shop, I knew I was in the right place. It's the old-school. Paper tags, paper bags, old machinery. It's as shoe repair should be. Steve has been in business for 30 years and is teaching his son the art as well. Upon dropping off my shoes, Steve immediately surveyed the shoes, to include ripping off the old soles and showing me where the last repair shop went wrong. Not from a place of arrogance, but from a place of skill, respect, and reverence for the longevity of a good shoe. After less than a week, my shoes were repaired to a very high standard, looking better than they have in years. I cannot recommend this shop enough. Steve is excellent.

There was also a miscommunication about the cost--when I spoke with them about the repair, I was told $150. When I called to see if the ring was ready, I was told I owed nothing due to store credit. When I finally caught up with them while they were open to pick it up, they charged $150. That matched what the jeweler told me up front, so there was no issue there, but it highlighted the lack of internal coordination.
