I visited while in town and left after 20 minutes because of a misunderstanding that the associates allowed to occur between my mother and another customer. The associate literally pulled my mother and 5 year old niece out of the dressing room, without explanation, at the request of another customer. Ever a problem solver, I inquired of the dressing room policy and learned that once a customer request use of the dressing room the associate places their name on the room. There was no name on the room and it was open and empty. Nothing was explained and it was embarrassing for my mother. When I pointed this out there was no apology, remorse, or effort to correct the matter. Very poor customer service so we put what we planned to purchase down (over $300) worth of items and left. A few days later, my daughter visited and brought me a purse and wallet that she knew I would like. They charged her more than what the associate told her that it would cost when she asked her on the floor. I told her to take it back and get her money, since she is a college student and could use the money rather than let it line the pockets of this shiny shack. She returned less than 3 MINUTES LATER and was told that all sales were final. Less than 3 minutes later ... I wish I had never told her about this place. Definitely will not return or recommend. Fringe apparently is doing well enough not to value my business and reading the previous reviews has a customer service issue which sounds like it stems from the management/owner. read more

Only takes practically brand new, almost perfect condition clothing. They only take name brands and I would not consider this a consignment shop. Shoes have to be almost perfect too. Very disappointed and won't be going back even to shop. I actually had new tags and they still wouldn't take. I miss Ginger's consignment shop in Auburn. read more

I have been going to Fringe since they opened their doors. It's 6:05 now and it was only 1/2 ago I went Fringe with 2 very heavy bags of women and kids clothes, shoes, etc. I had to park pretty far away & when I walked in, I had to just drop the bags and catch my breath. The 2 ladies hanging around up front said they couldn't take my items bc they stop taking them at 6:00. By the time I got all the way back to my car & cranked my car up it was about to be 6:00!! I drove back bc I was shocked they just turned me away and walked back in and said it's just about to turn 6:00 now but you guys told me too late, can't take them unless I wanted to donate all of it. I told them how long I had been coming and that I was just totally disappointed & their only response was a nervous laugh & a "I'm sorry"... Up until this day I have had nothing but good thoughts and opinions and promoted their wonderful boutique to everyone I know. I realize this shouldn't be a big deal but a person gets tired of being put off. Wish it was a little less complicated to try and sell your stuff here. You have to have a minimum of 10 pieces to even be considered for selling/consignment. And there's a 3 page list of brands they don't accept. I've been in the Opelika location which has all sorts of clothing (teen, women, business, formal) while this location seems geared towards older, upscale ladies (of which I am so very not). Oh well, guess I'll try the Opelika location sometime. My girlfriends seemed to have some success there. read more

This is a huge store with gorgeous well organized, beautiful clothes in pristine condition. Lots of Lilly Pulitzer and other top brands. Really nice staff. I highly recommend! They have a kids store down the block too! read more
