I see there are positive reviews for the business from the last few years. I also had great service from Ed Booth. However, this business was recently sold. The service and attention to detail is the opposite of what Ed provided and guarantee he made to customers. I had a large project that I wish I went with another painter for. After pointing out the lack of quality across the work (top of doors not painted, streaking, chipping, primer issues), it was redone but at another significant expense charged by E Booth. Essentially paying twice for quality that was still poor - and should have been done properly the first time. I had to bring a new painter in to complete the job professionally. I highly recommend Edward Booth Painting. We have used them for almost 20 years, both inside and outside of our house, and they are outstanding. From the first day I met Ed I could tell he was a serious guy who ran a tight ship, had a relentless attention to detail, cared about his clients, and priced his work fairly. His executive assistant, Sheryl, is as professional as they come in terms of setting up appointments, billing, and responding to any type of request. Ed and his team are great people, are 100% reliable, and do outstanding work for a reasonable price. They do large jobs and small jobs. Ed is very knowledgeable and only hires good and trustworthy workers who share his attention to quality work and client service. When Ed's guys are in our house we are comfortable leaving and giving them free reign of the house. He goes beyond the call of duty in taking care of his clients, and if anything is not to a client's liking he will make it right, right away. Ed's guys recently did a large painting and wallpapering job in our house and we couldn't have been more impressed. In addition, they saw that our recessed lighting was outdated, and suggested that we install new lighting. Because it was Ed, we accepted his recommendation immediately and couldn't be more pleased with the lighting that they installed. We wanted wallpaper removal in our kitchen, then to re-paint that room with the color to match the rest of the house! Also had a lot of touch up done to refresh the look throughout the house! First, wallpaper removal was done quickly and very well. Ed Booth is great at matching colors you want for rooms. He did this for us 3 years ago when we first moved in. His two workers are great at what had to be done, and followed Ed Booth's directions "to the letter"! My wife and I highly recommend "E.Booth Painting & Paperhanging"! I had to repaint a room from a remodel we did this winter. I called three painters (all recommend by my local Aboff's paint store. One really stood out and it was Ed Booth Painting. Ed came to the house personally, reviewed the job, had some really good ideas and also came in with a competitive rate. His crew finished yesterday and they really went the extra yard. I can confidently say that if I ever need painting done again, I am not going to even bother calling anybody else. These guys have been amazing right from the start. During their first estimate, they even helped my mother up after she took a fall! Very kind of Ed to help her out. Besides the paint job looking perfect they went above and beyond. In addition to painting all rooms on two floors of the house, they stained our doors, a window sill, painted our front door, cleaned up spackle left from work done by other contractors, fixed a mistake done by the guys who put in sheetrock for us, and even helped take in groceries (yes I am serious). I usually do my own painting (and it usually shows), but this last time the job was just too big and I was just too busy. I called Ed Booth; we made an appointment for him to look at the house and write the estimate, and he arrived precisely on time...i mean to the minute. He actually arrived a few minutes early but waited in the car until the exact time came. That actually impressed me, so many contractors are "running late". I was having some other work done, it was going slowly but Ed actually gave me some very good advice to get them to move along. I followed his advice and it worked. Ed's crew came, they worked quietly, professionally and they were always courteous and polite. My wife and I work nights, by the time we woke up, Ed's guys had already been there for hours without waking either of us up. No loud music or conversation, just quietly doing a great job. Whenever I called the office, the person that answered the phone was courteous, professional and more than competent. I'd use these folks again and again.
